Slick Willie was one (with all deference to Pres. Bill Clinton ;)) .. as well as White Willie and Cool Breese .. so take your pick, however, please stay away from Wet Willie in respect for the band

I'll skip past your Cool Breeze nickname ... my high school sweatheart's nickname was Cool Breeze. I prefer to not mix up her memories w/ you.

Awn da kast eye-rawn fry pan... they rock!

The original non stick frying pan. Used to use them for anything fried. That is, until they started to get heavier. (or I got lighter) Best on a gas stove of course. Since gas heats most foods "generally" faster than a microwave. Cooking is faster and easier. But the getting it out of the cupboard before and to the sink after makes em pretty much prohibitive anymore. :(

I really like cooking in CI, but you're right, the weight can be a problem so I use the 8" round and 9-1/2" square ones since they're easier to handle. Last year I bought a chainmail scrubber to use on them and love it. Just run hot water on the pan and rub the chainmail around in it and it comes out clean and smooth with no hard work at all. It works so well I got one for both kids for Christmas. I've used it on my old anodized pan too since I treat that like CI too.

Or the best of both worlds, a ceramic coated cast iron dutch oven. I scored a deal on one at Amazon a few months ago and I just love it. Brown your roast, stew meat, whatever your preference, on the stove top, add your other ingredients, then stick the whole thing in the oven and bake it for a few hours. Absolutely delicious results and easy peasy cleanup.
I love mine, too! Cast iron is great to cook with.

Ummm, I just got a notice that my liter of 100mg nic was shipped. As far as I can tell the price is still $30, but I only saw the 20% discount DIY20 code on the email I got announcing the sale. With shipping and the discount my total was $29.95.
What nic strength did you select? The higher the nic, the higher the price.

I asked if I could have the C-rations instead because they tasted better.

When I was on a remote tour in northern Japan for one month we ate in the japanese chow hall - I would have loved to had C-rations at that time... I lost 15lbs that month...

They probably shipped a few before they noticed the error - lucky you...

Those new ceramic coated pans are great.

Only for a while! Bin dere, dun dat.

Been using a cheap one for almost a year that I got at Wally world. No scratches or anything yet still fine. I do use nylon utensils but take no other special care with it.

I guess they are nylon, some kinda plastic stuff anyway.

I've got a set, not expensive either....have been using them for over two years, no issues, but......cooking on high and using the wrong utensils would probably be a big no no...;)

I love mine, easiest clean up ever...:D

Yeah we use plasticy.nylony stuph too. But oddly, found that stainless fry pans do a "fairly" good job of no stick too. And don't need special utensils.

My only question is (well, it's two questions) .. Can you really blow a fried egg or pancake out of these like "As Seen on TV" .. ?? And, the follow up is : Does a fried American cheese slice really just wipe out with a paper towel .. ?? For the record, I use a set of Calphalon Nonstick ..

Kim, I really hope you stick around, it's great to see you posting again .. I need to score, too .. ;)

I've never tried to blow them out, but.....they slide right out...just tilt the pan. And....yes, I've burnt things by being on the internet instead of in the kitchen, and the answer is yes..... a paper towel will remove it....;)

I just went to their site and noticed that 1 liter of 100mg nic is $30, but a 6 liter container is on sale for $300... Think they'd notice if I bought 6 individual liters and only paid $180? Am I missing something?

100mg nic. In Nov. I ordered the same thing and it was $50.
It was 50 when I reordered. I just looked again. Nic is listed by size, then when you click on the size you then have to choose the nic level in that size, & your pig/vg ratio. The 30.00 1 liter is for 24mg nic. 100mg is 50.00. Same way with the 6 liter.

About a zillion years ago, when it was the Russians invading Afghanistan instead of us, because I was NCOIC mobile weather unit, I got sent out on a "NATO exercise" to spend a couple weeks in the mud in Italy. We started eating those same ration kits, then they got a mess tent set up so we could eat "real meals." After one day eating in the mess tent, I asked if I could have the C-rations instead because they tasted better.
Amazing how prespective changes Freedom Fighters to Terrorists...

No, it's not the pans, it's the sharp knives...

Yep ... all the kids liked to come over to our place to play.

Select 100 mg and the price jumps up.
Now, it did not last night.

Ain't that the truth... Our government believes they can do anything, but someone else's government are always the bad guys. I'll bet "they" have exactly the same opinion about us.
