I have had okra mashed flat and crisp fried in corn meal that was ok.
But most times they are half inch slices of snot that coat your mouth with what ever the hell vileness it is.

I don't eat peas either.

And don't let me catch even a whiff of black eyed peas...you'll find out what I had to eat for the last week.
You aren't pregnant are you?

y'all have convinced me not to even try cooking it with all the snot comments
½" slices, toss it in cornmeal, fry it in oil, stir it a little while frying till a little browned. Drain on papertowels, a little salt & pepper. No snot. It disappears when you fry it. Snot appears & seems to multiply when you boil it.

lol do you not like the taste.....or have you just had slimy okra? cuz okra should never be slimy no matter how it's cooked if it's done right.

omgggggggggg c'mon Denver.......pleaseeeeeeeee win this football game!!!!
I dont like the taste, i dont like the texture, i dont like the look, i dont like the smell, i dont like the thought, i dont like seeing the bushes on the side of the road, i am offended that the thought it might exist might entertain the concept of crossing gods mind.

i might actually have to try okra some day.

sounds like i might actually hate it more than asparagus and brussel sprouts
I have eaten all kinds of critters, squirrels, opossum, armadillo, bugs, worms, but i would rather starve to death than eat that nasty stuff

I can't say if I like okra or not. Only had it a couple of times as a child, so can't remember the taste and don't know if my Mother fixed it right or not. Step-father was from Arkansas and wanted some.

I giggle every time I see that state written out...so many people in Atlantic City insisted it was pronounced..R-Kansas...
It tastes like oak leaves dipped in snot and rolled in drier lint

Armadillo... Texas Chicken :)
I've had a lotta chicken, but none of it started out naturally on 4 legs!!

Gotta say naturally cuz with all the crap they feed em these days, they might grow extra legss, heads, wings, whatever
