Hi folks, took me a while to track y'all down, guess that's what I get for not coming around more.Hope everyone had a nice holiday and is doing OK. It's been hectic around casa Kim B., dealing with hubby and maw in law's health issues. Things finally settled down after the holidays and I was looking forward to meeting my new grandson this past Saturday.
Friday evening I found my sweet calico kitty lying in the living room floor, catatonic and paralyzed from the waist down.My guess is that she had a stroke. I stayed with her all night, hoping that she would pass peacefully on her own, but had to make arrangements Saturday morning to have her put down.
I was blessed to have this gentle creature in my life for 19 years. I know I did the right thing for her, but I am heartbroken.
Saturday was such a bittersweet day, welcoming a new life and saying goodbye to an old friend.
So sorry to hear about your kitty. 19 years is a very long life for a cat. Isn't it nice to have been able to share it with her? And a new little life has entered! How very special is that!!
