I'm sitting down here in Deerfield Beach wondering what exactly is going on back in Virginia. The National News folks say doom and gloom while the local Norfolk station says not much. Hope it's not much. We're leaving on Monday. We haven't had snow down here since maybe 2006 or 7. We got 6" on Christmas Eve I think it was. The last time before that was 20 years prior. We tend to be ice on bridges, tho. It.s weird, there seems to be a weather line or something about 5 miles north of us. It will get icy or rain from that line & north, but south of the line completely different.
Have a good friend with no imagination. Names his D.O.G. pronounced Deogee. My brother names every dog he has 'Fred'. Except for one, Jack. Jack was missing one eye.
Me too.I have the ads.
Yep me too. Even though I like cats it would have been much more interesting if he had used live cats but, I'm afeared he woukd have been a bloody pulp by the time it was done.Weird.
I want my minute 53 back please?...![]()
Up North they stock up on bread and milk. Down N'Orleans it's gumbo. Give me gumbo anyday.I truly feel for those of you who are stuck in the middle of this winter storm. Down here, it rained like crazy for a little while last night, and then the wind came. It's still blowing out there. I went out today for a little while to run errands. That's a wrap for me. I'm NOT going back out. It's just nasty. Even the dog doesn't want to be out there. I still have gumbo in the freezer.![]()
No but they did play "In the Mood" at prom.I'm well aware of who they were....I stayed at the Pennsylvania Hotel in NYC....address 65000....for which Glenn Miller had a song....Gene Kruppa was a great drummer, as was Buddy Rich....who I heard play in person.....but I don't think we have anyone here old enough to have had one of their songs as the class song in HS.....![]()

He'll get there, we are pulling for him!I am sad to report Geordi ad I didn't do so well. Only 2 boys, but with the wind blowing, tents flapping, a judge who is very rough on puppies, we got 2nd place. His brother got 1st and the point. Oh well, our time will come.

Me neither... went out once this morning and the wind blew my skirt up, not going out again 'til it dies down at least a bit.

Kind of pretty here, as long as I don't have to go anywhere and the power stays on.

Although it would be exciting, I have no desire to take a dog to Westminster. It is a "benched" show - no crates, the dogs are on benches. It is very tight, and I don't trust other dogs in tight areas. Ya never know! We have looked into vending there, but the costs are prohibitive (vendor fee is off the charts!). But thanks for the suggestion of a hotel! If you get to take him to the Westminster show....check on getting a room at the Pennsylvania Hotel. It's directly across the street from Madison Square Garden, the rates are very reasonable for NYC and dogs are welcome...We checked in the day after the show ended. The lobby is huge and it was filled with kennel crates, handlers and dogs. Some of them already crated, some were out for a final walk before departure. One handler was kind enough to let my granddaughter pet the beautiful white Borzoi she was giving a final brushing to. So many beautiful animals ...up close, it was wonderful to see them.
But tha
lovely pics Dave....Thank you for sharing them.
1. chest hair is untouchable. did i tell you that story about the psycho ex-gf?
I know all too well the cost of being a vendor or exhibitor for any event in NYC...Although it would be exciting, I have no desire to take a dog to Westminster.
