... but I did appreciate the pilot letting us know what states we were traversing. Never had a pilot do that before and I wouldn't mind if they ALL did it, every flight.

I've always enjoyed and appreciated when a pilot would be a 'tour guide'! My most exhilarating flying experience was viewing da Aurora Borealis from 30K+ feet! Da other was a combat approach and landing at Ton Son Nhut AB (Siagon/ Ho Chi Minh City) in a C-123 in '67. Sorry, ain't no roller coaster/ride dat duplicates dat!

till have my shirt but I haven't been here very long. It's 7 pm back home but only 4 pm here.

Dave, sure hope ya have a grand and relaxing time!

hope you didn't have to go. By the time I was in basic in 81, they lined you up, and had people on either side of you. They'd each grab an arm, and shot the immunizations through your skin with some type of air gun. Then like Matt said, exercised the crap outta ya to get it through your system. I remember muscles hurting pretty bad, but not feeling super sick. Of course this was in peace time, so no overseas vaccines.
By the 80s they were using mostly dead viruses. In 75 they were still "weakened" and made you sick as crap. ;)

Question
Most of you know I've been around for a while ... but I never got "verified"
In the meantime, I've collected a lot of gear, and am thinking about selling some ... gotta buy more :p

I hear that PP doesn't do it anymore, and I'm not sure how to get verified now. I never trusted giving out my back account #, but I guess that's what it takes ... still not sure I want to do that :grr:
Any ideas ??????
You can get a form notified. Or, 3 of us can vouch for you.

Oops, meant notarized.

And here's the link for posting in the classifieds. The most important thing to remember is you can't list clones/counterfeits.

@Slots, I bet you cam find at LEAST 3 of us around here that would vouch for you ;)

Yep what 'clnire' said.

Well no news is good news. She showed me a thing at the end of my stump. They can't tell if its some kind of a bone disease or disorder or if it is just something from the amputation. So have to see the Orthopedic Surgeon that put my Femur back together. She didn't think it was anything but have to make sure. She told me that a bone bruise like I am pretty sure is all I have takes 6 weeks to heal. But it seems to be getting better. I am at least able to hobble along with a cane.

Great news (I think). No, really it is and I'm sure all will be ok. Seems like it's getting better. Hobbling is better than not walking. ;) Your original surgeon should be able to tell almost immediately what's up. After all, he put most of what's there, there.

Hope it is just a bone bruise. Do you have an appt with the ortho surgeon yet, or is it being scheduled?

Well, that's encouraging. Glad to hear that it seems to be getting better while you're trying to figure out what's up with the bone. Probably will turn out to be nothing that isn't fixing itself after being bashed. Keep us posted.

Yeah this isn't the guy that amputated but he did get a good look at my leg when I broke the Femur which was after amputation. Good doctor. Dr. Bone good name for an orth surgeon huh?

Better than DR. Slayballs for a urologist.

That's a relief! Now go see the surgeon, Mister. That could be bone growth from the bone healing after the surgery. I bet thats what you feel right under the skin & why it's uncomfortable. They can probably shave that & fix several problems.

I'm moving to Deerfield Beach, FL real soon.
I want mountains, a remote location, BUT, with good internet connection. The two do not go well together.

I have three monitors, and spend 90+% of my time on my computer, I need a good internet connection.
