Bananas split longways into halves. Generous amount of peanut butter slathered on each piece. Homemade mayonnaise slathered on top of that. U-m-m-m-m-m-m good!
Errr, I was with ya right up until the mayonnaise. No thanks, rarely use the stuff. Only proper use for it is bologna sammiches, and various 'salads', ya know chicken salad, egg salad, potato salad, etc.

Wow, a whole recipe even. Thanks! Ummm, just one question. I mean, I'm not a fan of their music, but why are you putting the Black Eyed Peas in this?

    Thanks, yep, he is.

But sightseeing isn't much fun solo. Pat (wife) has to stay home as there's only us to see to her mom - who just turned 93 in January. So I tend to just ignore the adage about it being the journey and not the destination...

Made it to Needless CA for tonight's stop, "short" 4 - 5 hours tomorrow and I'll be there.

Been a Herbert and Dune fan since, well, almost forever. The original film of Dune, the one with Sting in it, was a herculean dud, imo. Some years later, many years later, I guess, SyFy did a version that was actually pretty good.

The 60's? Yeah, I think they were fun, but hard to recall...

Whew, I thought you were after shrimp guts!

    Nite all :)
I agree, the SciFi version of Dune was much better. At least they discovered what light bulbs are for! :D

Southern food. When I lived in the KC area, I got my introduction to sausage gravy and biscuits, okra, and boiled greens. Then, more recently, I had a Texan room-mate for several years. There, I made the switch from cornmeal mush to grits. I like the texture better. And I got into boiled greens-- much more interesting than just spinach.

So, even though I live in Wisconsin, I am not a culinary idiot.

    @kad2371

    Just guessing here.......February 3, 1971 ? .........;)
Nope, actually it the last 4 digits of my social security number, figured I'd make it easy for anyone that wanted to steal my identity. Maybe it'll improve my credit!
Seriously though, yep, 2/3/71. Way back when, I tried some more original user names (I thought) for various online sites and services, and they were already taken. So I got lazy and picked something easy to remember (well for me anyway, not for my kids it seems) and have stuck with it ever since.

Is it true people in Wisconsin eat cheese at every meal ?

I draw the line at that.

However, ricotta is a good dessert cheese. Look up some recipes. :p Cannot use that one enough.
I actually made an apple pie lasagna, that was basically lasagna noodles, apple pie filling (homemade or from the can both work) and ricotta. I know there was a bit more to it but don't remember it all. It was quite good though.

That sounds good. I can almost taste it. My current stewed dried fruit has rice in it. May try it, since I also have some gluten-free lasagna that I would not use-- the usual lasagna is so troublesome to make.

    Fabulous Fruit Lasagna
