I MADE IT! Found the back porch! So how's everybody? It looks like some are a little "crispy around the edges" (he, he). Yes! Great musical line up with Dylan and very sad about Ol' Merle!

Turns out our weather is on par with the East Coast! It was 34 this morning and is 45 right now. What little snow we did get last Winter has been gone for weeks and it's tank top & cut offs time! Woo Hoo!!! (Oh, and, BTW, face down IS NOT the position to lay in the snow naked!(front porch thread) LOL!!!

Good to know a bit more about ya. Oh......and I don't think we mentioned our google hangout. Sign in - Google Accounts People are in and out at various times, but often you'll find a group in the am, or pm. Sometimes I'll kinda hangout there by myself while I'm catching up on posts..... (like now).....just have it open in a seperate tab so when folks pop in, we can chat. It's a lotta fun. You can be on camera or not, your choice, but you do have to have a microphone of course.

OK, now Debadoo, DO TELL more about the upcoming party in Fl. that you mentioned on the front porch . It would be nice if it coincided with the 24 hrs. of Daytona or the 12 hrs of Sebring but that time has passed and it's just my greedy little wish anyway .

April 16th to 23rd and a lot of us are gonna get together. We still have some room if you and your wife wanna come along. House rent for the week is 185.00 per person. Some sent 200.00 the extra goes in a grocery or whatever we need fund, and folks are kickin in for that when they get there also......and those that can are kickin in for gas for the boat..... one of our Florida folks has a boat they're bringing. 3,000 square feet just on the screened in lanai. Forget what the house is. Anyhow.......is gonna be so fantastic........many of us have been on this thread 4 to 5 years, and we're finally gonna get to meet in person and spend a week together.......as Iffy says.......swattin flies and tellin lies!!

Oh and I'm class of 81 dunno if we had a motto, chant, song or whatever. I went to a new HS my SR year in a town 5 hrs away......graduated early, so I was only there from Sept to Christmas break.

Well, yes & no . Her job has her on a computer a solid 8 hrs. a day and by the time she gets home, a computer is THE LAST THING she wants to see. (imagine that ) That being said, she DOES enjoy reading along with me when I "check in" in the evenings. So I guess you could say she supports and appreciates ECF vicariously, ha, ha.

Anyhow.......is gonna be so fantastic........many of us have been on this thread 4 to 5 years, and we're finally gonna get to meet in person and spend a week together.......as Iffy says.......swattin flies and tellin lies!!

MAN! Now this sounds AWESOMELY INCREDIBLE!!! I was just checkin' out the "planning thread" and it just looks like an absolute BLAST!!! As you can imagine, the logistics (and the expense) would be a tough nut to crack for us. The condo and boat are freakin' SCHWEET and the two bills each wouldn't be an issue. It's the "Between here and there" that is. Hopefully, THIS will become an annual or semi annual or every 5 years thing and we can jump on board "next time". You wouldn't have to worry about the "groceries or whatever we need fund" either. We'd bring PLENTY and WE SHARE! LOL!!! (It's the Alaskan way . Gotta treat each other nice! You never know when you might need their help .)

YUP! We like it here and we're gonna be around a long time so we'll definitely be keeping an eye out for "next time"!!! I can't wait to see the pics from THIS one!!! MAN! That is just gonna be TOO KEWL FOR SCHOOL!!!

Speaking of "school" (See what I did there , a little Segway, huh, huh...........) this was/is my HS's logo, symbol, emblem:

Our class "slogan" was "Like the eagle we are GREAT! We're the class of '78! The school "fight song" is "On The Anchor". I won't go into the whole thing, you get the idea........ One interesting thing to note is that the class of '71 painted the logo pictured above and in order to be remembered for doing it, they placed "71" in a geometric pattern on the left (closest to the viewer) talon cuff feathers (those crafty devils!!!). It's the outside back stage wall of the auditorium and I gotta tell ya, there were some AWESOME concerts inside there!!!

I found a new way of generating passwords. Grab your Bible, and choose a verse. You got upper case, lower case, punctuation, and numbers. And how many to choose from??

Well Matt, not to be redundant (but not to be rude) I'll just click off the basics, bullet point style:

* Wife & I both smoked cigs nearly 50 years.
* Quit several times, several ways, 100% tobacco free as of Valentine's Day this year (YEAH!)
* Both hittin' Kanger Subvods, Hers: Matte Black - His: SS
* Already starting to DIY our own juices (thanks to A LOT of folks here!)
* Lifelong Alaskans (South Central, about 60 miles N.W. of Anchorage)
* Been "Outside" (To America/The Lower 48) twice, nearly 4 years and nearly 6 years.
There's no place like HOME!!!
* Heavy Equipment Operator, Harley enthusiast, Race car driver, fabricator, crewman - gear head in general.
* Love the outdoors, hunting, fishing, snow & water skiing and Summer & Winter motor sports.
* SUPER HAPPY to be Tobacco free, FINALLY (and with unbelievable ease!).
* Last but not least, I LOVE the porches! (It seems like they are the "drama free zone" and that works for me!)

I think you and I are gonna get along just fine. Quit in 2012 whaen I was diagnosed with stage 1 lung cancer. In case you've never heard of Stage 1 (Lots haven't), mine was the earliest detection both my radiologist, family doc and surgical oncologist had ever seen. They remove the bottom half of my right lung on May 9, 2012. I had fooled aropund with vaping prior to my diagnosis on April 9th but, my surgeon told me he wouldn't operate if I didn't quit and actually suggested vaping.
Born and raised in Daytona Beach, FL. My sister was the France families baby sitter and the guy across the street flew the learjet for International Speedway Corp. Needless to say I went to almost everything held at the speedway my entire childhood. The same guy that was the pilot also raced a 225 (2.5L) class hydroplane. I built an engine under his tutelage that came within 2/10 ths of a second of setting a new world record for the class.
