May we get a bit of help here?
Mark Zuckerberg: "Facebook, please let us promote our anti-tobacco movie" Jan Kounen
It really wasn't anything catastrophic. I just touched on a couple of points. I'm rather liking our new stores and transportation director. She is willing to sit down and listen to concerns.oh kewl.......wuz hopin, but with the all hands on deck, was thinkin maybe everyone had to go to the island to include those on duty. Hope your private chat did some good!!!
Good morning, Porchers.
Ken, I'd be happy to sign, but I really hesitate to put my address and primary e mail in those fields.
that's fantastic!! Hope the kid has done a great job......but at least the boss has open ears if not. Jup I never worked hard for recognition either......but glad you've gotten some validation, cuz a pat on the back and some kind words are always wonderful to hear. I think that place would be lost without you darlin......they'll cry when ya do retire! heheheMy immediate boss told me that the new kid was planning on making all kinds of changes at the base. My boss stopped him dry, "Oh NO, you're not! We like the way that base is being run and you are just there to maintain." Booya!!
Woot! I tol ya they noticed! It really wasn't anything catastrophic. I just touched on a couple of points. I'm rather liking our new stores and transportation director. She is willing to sit down and listen to concerns.

I'm going into work today, and I'll be able to tell what's been going on. I'll be able to tell if the young man has been blowing smoke or not. I talked with some of the folks he was working with before me, and they thanked me for taking him off their hands. I just laughed and said, "I'm not going to play with him." My boss told me if he makes any big changes to let him know immediately.
You know, I never set out getting that base straight for any recognition. I learned a long time ago in the life that if you're waiting for validation from corporate that you're going to be in for a huge disappointment. I work the way I do because that is my work ethic, and I get my satisfaction from knowing within myself that I've done a great job. They have validated me lately, BUT, I'm not counting on that to get me through my day.
who realized I wasn't just some robot.

Shhhhhhhh don't go tellin ever body!Yew... yew... yer.... reeel?![]()
Gotcha!Shhhhhhhh don't go tellin ever body!![]()
just some robot
awwwwwww yur just an amateur darlin.....but we'll git ya up to snuff in no time!! hehehe and don't apologize.....a prior poll had far more multi likers than haters. One person was nearly ordered to multiquote no so long ago.
Probably me! I hate doing multiquotes. Hard to edit them on my phone or tablet, & then have to go back & unquote them so they don't show up again. PITA!
Better get 4 so one is always within easy reach. Hate it when I go to get the spray and the dang thing runs off. Only thing worse than a but you can see.......is one you know is there, but ya can't see it! It could be runnin up yur back
My thought EXACTLY and what kept me from signing. One really needs to have their "t's" crossed and "i's" dotted, especially in a situation as sensitive and important as this.I wish that Kounen had not used the second comma in the following sentence from his petition, because it totally changes the meaning of the sentence:
In this film, I will be showing how we are being lied to, about how vaping could be dangerous for health.
But, I signed the petition anyway.
) Good schtuff!!!Fantastic news, Roto! Especially to big boss nailing the little boss on the changes. He's just trying to score points by assuming they think things have to be changed to be better. He got told things are perfect the way you've organized them. Especially since Tweedledee is gone. They made it clear that there will be no Tweedledum. Yay! They really, really like you!It really wasn't anything catastrophic. I just touched on a couple of points. I'm rather liking our new stores and transportation director. She is willing to sit down and listen to concerns.

You know, Birdie. After this RA hit me I had to find a strictly desk job I could do. Some were reluctant to hire me because seeing me try to walk is apparently more painful to others than it is for me. Especially when this stuff is not well controlled. I didn't even need a cane back then. I took all the knowlege I had in management & combed thru it & started working in business to business commercial collections. Now days it's something I could do from home. The only job I had that actually got any aknowledgement of the work that I did, & an understanding of the miilions of dollars I was bringing in for them every month, & saving from drifting away into oblivion was the company I retired from after 10 years. The owners backed me with the lower management & salespeople when they got mad if I put accounts on hold & they couldn't enter a sale or had to take a few pallets off a flat bed trailer they'd just loaded. I usually only had to do that once per customer to make my point but customers & our people would get mad at me. If complaints got too bad, the owners would call a meeting & get single employee into one room, & by Skype for the branch locations. Turnover in sales & managment made it necessary to do this a couple of times a year sometimes. They would make it clear that I was doing what they'd hired me to do & were happy with the way I did it. They seldom lost a customer & ones that left always came back because we owned the patents on the products & didn't allow wholesale through anyone but us. So if someone wanted whole prices they had to buy from us. They educated all of the staff on the reasons I did what I did, the way I did it & that all staff were expected to support me to the customers, tell them that they had fallen far enough in arrears that we weren't comfortable releasing more material until they'd paid for what they'd already gotten, used, & sold. This was all construction materials. The mortor & cast stone in the San Jacinto Monument is from my company as well as most buildings in the Houston, Austin & DFW areas for over 50 years. I filed liens before construction was complete & property sold which meant no permits & no sale until we got paid. They only way any of this was successful was because The owners had my back & took the time to educate everyone else on how it all worked together to make the company profitable & out of debt. They even told them that their paychecks wrre earned by the sales they made but were paid by the job I did. Management attitude is everything.Woot! I tol ya they noticed!
DH and his brothers own a company with around 600 employees. DH would come home and tell me about what so and so did, that day -- all happy that s/he had done a great job. I'd say, "That's great! Did you tell him/her?" The answer used to be a surprised, why-would-I-do-that? look. Now, the answer is, "Jup!" Even grumpy brother says "Good job. Thanks!", now. Funny how much happier everyone is.
Amen backatchya! That's wonderful that they had your back! And more wonderful that they really took the time to explain why, so no or less resentment about it. Wish more would do thatManagement attitude is everything.
i graduated from HS in '69...
It totally changed the whole company's outlook on what parts everyone played in the entire business process. It was great once everyone understood how their job & how it was handled effected everyone else's job. Things ran so much more smoorhlyn there was more cross communication, & less frustration.Amen backatchya! That's wonderful that they had your back! And more wonderful that they really took the time to explain why, so no or less resentment about it. Wish more would do that
