I can strongly relate to this. That's why I've been so quiet the last few days. You may not be feeling civil, but I've been feeling positively foul!!I have a pee-poor attitude today...not feelin civil at all...

Yes .. having been a mod on another forum in the past, most all posts that get deleted are reported by fellow thread members .. mods generally don't actively look for rule violations as some may think .. most forums are self policed by members ..
And, as a side note, Bill Maher is the voice of reason .. as opposed to voices of no reason such as Limbaugh and his ilk .. take a listen to Bill on youtube if you don't have HBO, you might actually learn something about Democracy ..

Well they could do heart surgery because your heart isn't doing anything while they operate. The machine does it all but doing a revision on my stomach is another matter. The doc who amputated my legs I think would do it for me with Medicare. He wants to talk to me. Gonna call me but he is in Rapid City now. He does bariatric and other surgeries and is excellent and really cares. I sure wish he was still here. The bariatric surgeons here won't even talk to you if you have Medicare. The problem with the heart surgery is it is a lot of trauma for your heart to undergo and your chances go down if you have had previous OHS. I'm sure I would have to go to the UW Med Cntr. The Mitral valve they usually try to sort of repair. They put a ring in it so it opens well. The whole thing is really complicated. Your heart is an amazing machine when its working right.Dave, must say that you've really upped your creative flying! It's your most creative quad vid yet, plus I luv da music!

I thought you posted that that procedure was not plausible due to your past surgeries. Nonetheless, we won't give up as long as you don't!!! Ever so much am humbled by your challenges and resiliency...

They don't want to do the echo till then because Medicare might not pay it if it has been less then a year.
been wishing for years we had a costco near us.......newp, they put in a second Sam's 20 minutes away.
I'm with Janet in wondering if it's really beef. That's odd.

I wasn't aiming that at Classy! Classy is always wonderful about these things. I was taking direct aim at whoever thinks they should be the boss of the Porches but is too (looks around for Mama) chicken to just come out & say something. We are good people here. We can take it when we get out of hand & need to be reminded. It's the sneaky part that was out of line. Be up front & out front before you hit that button.
Some facts:
The Australian governmental standards for beef are more stringent than the US governmental standards. I don't know about South America.
Australian cattle are grass fed, which is the natural diet for cows. US beef cattle are grain fed and are given large doses of antibiotics to deal with the digestive tract infections that come with this unnatural (for cows) diet. The antibiotics are not needed for grass fed cows.
McDonald's is the largest buyer of US beef. Surprisingly, the US cannot supply enough beef which meets McDonald's requirements for leanness, so McDonald's buys some of their beef from Australia to make burgers for the US market. McDonald's in countries overseas buys a much larger proportion of Australian beef.
