I'm doing ok, K, just lost my dog on Friday, so quite sad. Lost my other one on Dec. 27, so it was a double slam....smiling through the tears to get by.

Hope this round does it for her, K. Always in my thoughts.

Welcome to the back porch! And I'm so sorry that you lost 2 of your critters. That's so sad. It's always so hard to lose them, but you have to remember the joy, comfort and laughter during the time you had together. {{{Katmar}}}

Welcome to the back porch Katmar. I occasionally have to do a course of prednisone. If they could come up with a drug that makes me feel like that but, didn't kill me slowly I would live on it. Stuff makes me feel like a damn teenager. Nothing hurts. However I can eat the fridge into submission.
You mean bouncing off the walls, & full meals every 15 minutes, & biting anyone who gets in the way teenager?

So glad to hear that you're not flooded in your place! Just stay in and stay safe.
Thanks, Janet! Heard some thunder & got a brief shower today but so farr that's it. Other places are still diving for bodies in cars that you can't even see from the surface yet because no one saw them drive into the water. People in boats are skimming the flooded underpasses & frontage roads & finding vehicles. I haven't seen that to this degree since the late 70's. Not even exaggerating.

How come we're not on the front porch?
Wait, my house doesn't even have a porch.
Another new victim! Oops, I mean porcher... Welcome! We do have a front porch where we try to stay vape related (try), but on my phone so can't post a link. Pull up rocker, lounge, swing, whatever and tell us about yourself!

Yep and there is no Global Warming just a phase except this one won't pass, at least if the rest of the world doesn't get on board with trying to fix it, China, Indonesia, S. America. Lets just all make money and the hell with the world.

I'm wondering how this years fire season is going to be. Supposed to be 85 here tomorrow. That's unheard of for April here. Texas is getting all our rain but I don't know if the places that really need it are. Plus too much too fast.

Yesterday the "official" temp set a new record for the 18th of April, since they started keeping records.

Today, 3rd day in a row at 80 or over - never happened here in April...

But at least a cold front is coming in that will moderate the temp, and maybe bring rain in a few days.

And I'll take a few days of excessive heat over floods any day!

That's just crazy, we are going to moderate too down to 68 but we haven't had rain in quite a while. I hope half the state doesn't catch on fire this year, I have to come back no later then Sept 1st, it would suck to have to put up with all that smoke. I was lucky last year didn't get back till it was gone but I guess it looked like China around here. People with lung problems couldn't even go outside.

Food wise yes but, my aches and pains as in my knees and osteoarthritis stop hurting when I hit the 4/4, 3/3 mark.

Lol! We have a Front Porch, too! It's where we talk about vaping related topics only. Mostly only. Here on the back porch we can talk about "almost" anything. Within ECF boundry's of course. Welcome to The Porches!

Leg's, this honestly is not climate change. This happens in this area all the time. Itcs been at least this bad flood wise twice in the last year alone. The predicted adition rain has failed to appear so it never got as bad as they were saying it would. People new to the area just don't know not to drive into water standing under an overpass or so high you can't see the curbs. Especially in a Mini Cooper. Some people don't use good sense. We had 7 deaths, I think it was. Yes, thousands of homes flooded. All of Houston is a flood plain.

Tx really needs it, juust not all at one time in one place! We have wildfires & drought here, too. Always have.

Yep, prednisone works great! Itcs the crazy thatcs bad. I took it 2x daily for 12 years. Was able to get off of it, then needed it again & couldn't take more than 1/4 of one 2x a day without havoc happening. The dose I get with an infusion is in a 10ml syringe. I don't hurt anywhere for quite awhile but of the eating....

Tell that to 98% of the scientists and people who study the climate. We are ruining the earth. Cutting 1000s and 1000s of acres of rainforest. Indonesia has cut 80% of their forests to plant palm oil trees. China is burning so much coal that you can't even see accross the street. The glaciers are melting at an alarming rate causing the sea level to rise. They figure that if it keeps up by the year 2100 most of the US will be in a drought then we will have problems like in the middle east with people starving and fighting in the streets. We won't be here but I believe it is happening and people want to put their heads in the sand and hope it all goes away. Seems like every year gets a little worse.
