No, definately not.Don't you miss the good old days when cigarettes were good for you besides being cool and you could buy them with your lunch money 35cents at that time.

Welcome to the porch, WhiteHighlights. Don't seem to recognize the handle so if you've been here a while, welcome anyway! My husband and I have a tradition of getting together with friends for a potluck Thanksgiving. It's usually 3 couples, each of us having no family close by. It turns into a fun gathering as we each bring a contribution of appetizers, salad, side dishes or dessert so no one does all of the cooking. Together we create a feast without the stress and no family drama. We also end up with a lot of left overs to take home, yum!
The couple who usually hosts the gathering allowed smoking in their house, but I never felt comfortable doing that. They're happy with me vaping. I think they did some research about it as they asked intelligent questions after they learned I was vaping, not knocking it but wanted to know more. It's nice to have good friends.

That's a great way to do it! Specially if there's enough for everyone to have leftovers. I think that's my favorite thing about cooking a big meal is the leftovers. that's great they're supportive of your vaping!
Welcome to the porch! I don't recall seein you before, but if you've been here before, just ignore me. I see you've been on ECF awhile, how long have you been vaping? What do you use?

That is sort of how the hubby and I do gifts too. His Birthday is in Nov and mine in Dec so Octoberish we decide what the other is getting. Hubby got a new iMac this week and I got to order a new Provari. So much for the bonus check this year.I'm a long time, veteran lurker! I don't post much but spend a lot of time reading and learning. I went from Blu to ProVari two years ago and haven't looked back. It has become something of a semi-controlled hobby, if there is such a thing? I went through clearos and carto tanks to RDAs and RTAs as toppers and DIY too. I think I've found my happy place for the most part which could be a problem for the husband. He gets me nice things for our anniversary (#25 this year), my birthday or Christmas
I just tell him what he gave me and he's happy he's off the hook for a gift!
Thanks to all. It's been a tough year (MIL Alzheimers, my health, work etc). The fun, laughter and advice here (and on the front porch) has been a big help.
Vent alert:
Thanks everyone for the birthday wishes, i appreciate it. Now the vent. People ask what i want for my birthday and i smile and say "nothing in particular" but here is what i really want.

NO problem. Believe your list has many items that are common to most of us. I'll have to remember it when my wife ask me what I want for my birthday next year.Vent alert:

Ginny usually just fixes a turkey breast, stove top stuffing, mashed taters and gravy.
When we go to the store we get sticker shock. Our house here appraised at 180K there would be 275K.

Same here - we generally make a turkey breast (they sell some really large ones at Publix) and a small ham along with all the general veggies, taters, and stuffing with gravy to go along with them.
Same here - you would have to add $100k plus to buy the same house - just 100 miles from in the Atlanta area and about $150k if you wanted the same thing in the Orlando are and do not even get me started on the cost of living in those two areas...
I posted, so maybe I'll follow it again since it's not so fast now. One at a time it'll pick up hopefully. It had almost died & the contest had stopped. The regulars are trying to get it wound back up. This was the 1St of the new drawings.
