290 miles to go. We should arrive in Deerfield Beach around 9:10 PM. Raining just south of Jacksonville. Typical Florida weather. Went to the weather app to see how long we were going to be in it, pouring rain, not according to weather underground, no rain on radar at all.

Happy Thanksgiving in here :)

I want to say thank you for inviting me to the Hang Out...I had a wonderful time, you all made me feel so welcome !

Now, when I see your posts in here, I can picture you and hear you :)

Stuffed myself at my Sister's as usual.
And, as usual, the cologne was so thick I needed a shower once I got home

One of my nieces took a great vaping pic...I'll put it up as my avi for a bit once she sends it to me...it's on some fancy camera that she bought so I don't know when that will be.

anyhoooo...thank you again

OMG.......I thought it was the turkey that was supposed to be stuffed for thanksgiving, so........why do I feel like I was trussed up, stuffed and........... ?

On a more serious note......It was such a pleasure to have so very many of you take time on a holiday to come and spend a bit of it with us in the HO ......Love the porchers for that....the caring for each other that we have come to share in these threads.

There were many of you who came into the HO for the very first time this morning......I would like to extend a welcome to you all over again. .... thank you for joining us there......and ask you to come back whenever the mood strikes. You will be welcomed by friends.......

Well my dinner was a success I suppose. Everyone got their plates and 12 minutes later, I was slicing the pumpkin pie. Thanks to everyone on Hangouts. . . I love family time.

We had one of the most meaningful Thanksgivings ever.

Early this morning, we went to a school gymnasium where the bleachers were filled with clothes donations, and tables were set for a full turkey dinner and all the trimmings. It was a sad and happy time for dh & me and some folks just tore me up. Sort of wish I could have brought home a particular older lady who looked so emaciated but she held her head high. Another person who struck me was a gentleman who was ...maybe in his 40s....couldn't really tell cause of the unshaven face and long straggly hair. This man looked so beaten, and I won't forget that look for a very long time. A lot of these folks were smiling and kept wishing all the helpers Happy Thanksgiving. Wow, just wow!

Every day I am grateful for so many things, but today brought gratefulness to a whole new level.

I had two turkey dinners! Community feast delivered at 10:45, then friends from church invited me to their place out this way for another dinner with their son and his fiancee.

The pie was an unusual choice for T'giving, something like this Sinfully Delicious Chocolate Pie Recipe except for melted semisweet chocolate chips. Savored every bite.

I think I will fast tomorrow!

It may have taken 5 times but they all were perfectly balanced so that you could see each person! What a great job!

35 miles to go. Gas Guage says we have 50 miles of gas in the tank. Gonna be close but, dammit I ain't stopping! Just wanted everyone to know we made it. Doree drove the whole thing. I was falling asleep in the passenger seat and she rightly refused to let me drive. See you all in the morning. Happy Thanksgiving again and know that I really do love each and every one of you, my family.
