glad the storm is making it better, and glad you'll be getting home soon. Hope all is well with your house and your neighbors.
yeah it was after I said that, that I realized you were talkin bout the steering wheel and I was talkin bout the side of the road.
Glad they came to get it, and glad you donated it. When my dad died, we were planning to donate his furniture. I did decide fairly quickly that I was ready to go home sooner than I'd planned, just needed to be done dealing with it all, so I don't blame the charities, but Goodwill said it would be about a week I think. Salvation Army said if they had a truck they'd be right out but they didn't.......called a church and they said, I'll find a way, can you give us an hour? I said sure thing. But the last move, Goodwill wouldn't even come get furniture if anything was wrong with it to include just a mar in the fabric. After the hurricane in 83, even with vouchers, Goodwill wouldn't give us anything since they didn't have what was on the vouchers, Salvation Army said they were out of what we had on the vouchers (furniture) but said if there is anything here you need just take it, and check back later with your vouchers. I got a lamp we needed and a pair of shoes for work. So, I'm done with Goodwill, won't donate to em,
buy from em, just don't deal with em. I'll donate to Salvation Army. Not to mention 20 yrs ago or more Goodwill was charging 4.00 for a mans cotton button down shirts that literally were
threadbare.
