My Sis is showing up today to spend the night and then catch a plane...I told her she has to share my bed like in the old days as the other one is vertical up against the wall!

There's nothing to trickle down if one can't afford to buy anything. Medicare will be increasing for a lot of people and nothing to offset it. This isn't going to affect just us older folks, there will be no increase for retired federal employees, veterans, disabled veterans, and others.........it's just plain shameful......

I'm pretty sure Medicare cannot increase without CODA. I also don't think that means Medicare deductibles and copays have to stay the same.

It is kind of complicated how it works, but Medicare does increase even without CODA, but not for the folks already on SS - the rest of the folks have to increase by a larger share since the increase is being spread across a smaller group, but then when SS does get an increase the spread gets re-calculated and the now smaller group that is seeing a large increase will then see a small decrease... That is about as simple as I can explain it without getting boring...

Ours is all up, too. That no increase based on the price of gas to total bs. The cost of my rent d groceries doesn't go down when the price of gas does.

than you Semi......I don't like to follow the news much anymore, but I try to stay on top of any financial news as pertaining to SS and medicare....and I hate what I've been reading....
