I luv jury duty! Having served 20 years in da USAF, I will say that JD is da highest service a civilian can perform for their community/nation. Be informed, proud and serve well!

Served on a murder trail several years and wound up as jury foreman. What an educational, fulfilling and rewarding experience! Earnestly and eagerly awaiting my next opportunity to serve JD again. <and no, I was not a JD in my youth... although some may disagree, if they're still 'round>
I agree about jury duty. After spending years in the military and not being able to do it, I look forward to it each time I have been called. One time I was called, it happened to be during finals week at college. Yes, I didn't start attending until I was 44(?) years old. I went to the courthouse on the Friday before the Monday I was to appear for jury duty. The courtroom was packed with people trying to get out of jury duty. My name was called and I went before the judge and explained that I was looking forward to jury duty and I ask to be rescheduled for after finals week. I had my class schedule and testing dates and times. I was excused but hung around listening to other people and their excuses. Wow, it was an education. I would recommend that if you are free go to one of these hearings and get an education in our younger generation and their opinions of jury duty.

I totally agree about jury duty and wish they had open times where you could volunteer. It's amazing how many times I've been called that has been the worst possible time to serve. I've never been selected for the jury and that's very disappointing, but I was amazed at the lengths people will go to not to have to serve. Maybe if they had to face a trial it would change their minds...

I worked with a woman who got called for Grand Jury duty and that lasts a whole year! She had to be available a day or 2 each week, but at least if they'd take an excuse if you couldn't make some of them given there were so many days you had to be available. That just seems crazy to me, quite an investment in time.

When ilived in Hillsboro county FL. I got called for jury duty at the same time each year. The third year i got suspicious since i had started recognizing people. What are the odds since law said jurors were to be chosen at random from liscensed drivers. I asked abiut and was never called again. Imagine the courts not following the law.

Thank you, Diver! Yes, that slight, but pivotal, 'inconvenience' (JD) should be revered! For others that may not appreciate the JD impact should keep in mind how many have sacrificed so much to let us as 'peers' do our duties as citizens. At least you'll get a 'free pass' to ..... 'bout our society; assuming one also votes informed and selfishly!

They're adorable!!!!

We went to see Bridge of Spies today with Tom Hanks. We both really liked it especially having lived through that time.

They are so beautiful! I'm going to have to go get some pup time in soon. My family needs to share.
It's been so nice being around a dog again! It's been many many years, and they're just so great at relieving stress. sometimes at causing it, but mostly relieving it

We had it easy here. Stayed home d waited for the water to go down. Glad you came through safe, too. Sounds like you got the woest of it. I know they had voluntary evac at Boliver Peninsula.

It's looking pretty good today. Tomorrow should be even better. If not, I'll commandeer a helicopter to get out of here!!

Be safe Roto. Hope the roads clear so you can avoid the 8-H (Hurricane hinders heli helper heading home to hug hound.)
Good morning all! Feeling better, going to handling class tonight with Geordi, his sister and his breeder. Can't wait to see what mod and tank she got!

Can't wait to hug my dog and cat!! Glad you're feeling better!!

I absolutely hate anyone messing with my teef!

Me too!! That's WAY too close to my brain!!
