Oh boy, cat's ralphing in the hallway. We got him some hairball medicine today and he absolutely refuses to take it. That's why his first name is Dam as in Damn Cat!!

Edit: That wasn't so bad, more noise than anything else. Lowered from Damn Cat to Darn Cat!

Not ready yet, I can tell. I'm real experienced at this. ;)
Sara & Brutus have been telling me since 8 that it's bedtime. Their Mom still smokes, so everytime I get up they go to the back door because they think (hope) that it's time to go out for that bedtime smoke. They get totally confused when I just get some water & go sit down again. This time I went to the bedroom & they stayed in the doorway. Either they don'trust me not to go back to the living room, or they are still hoping for that last smoke. Nope, guys, I don't do that anymore! If ya wanna smoke, use the doggie door!

Does anybody have a link to the recipe collection that keep getting mentioned over in the TFA Recipe Thread. I'm only up to around page twenty reading and they keep mentioning moving the various completed recipes somewhere but I can't find a link to them. Tried a couple of links that looked like they take you to a Google Doc but ECF says the file doesn't exist. Since I'm pretty much working from TFA flavors to avoid confusion I sure would like a copy. Thanks in advance.

Going back to bed. Goodnight all again! See you in the AM.

Are you on the old ECF links? Look in the DIY forum. There is a recipe thread there. I'm on my phone for the wekend.

Yep Liz I'm still learning after over 6 years. My NiFe48 experiment started out real slow and fizzled out all together at the end. Actually it was really good at first but today on the second day it just didn't have much flavor or vapor. Turned it all the way up to 450F and still no go. Maybe the coil I used or something else I did but Ti is far better to me. I would like to get a Reauleux though looks like a lot of fun. Oh well I tried and might try again tomorrow but don't want to get into some of these fancy coils some of these guys use my simple 5wrap 3mm 26awg Ti works great and goes 3 weeks between cleaning. Also doesn't use near the power. Oh well. Had to give it a try probably something I did or didn't do but 12hrs is not long enough for a coil to last me.

I think you ought to wait and see where the terrorists in France came from before jumping on the easy-blame bandwagon and passing judgement on France's immigration policies. The terrorists in the January attack on the satire magazine were home-grown.

Oh watched Busardos complete DNA200 video a second time and it started making sense. Going to watch it again then take the EVOLV tutorial. BB I can see why your interested in one pretty cool stuff.
You're not just a wire-chaser. You're a glutton for punishment, watching a repeat marathon session of Busardo videos. (I've done it too.)

It starts to make sense doesn't it? This time I actually picked up on how it senses the curve of the wire and compensate to give you better TC plus you can capture the graph and show it to someone else. Pretty amazing stuff. You can see just what your mod and atty is doing. Cool

Like he said the only way to get a closer TC is to be able to actually tell the temp of the coil with sensors
Sooner or later a TC device will come out that works well with Kanthal. I don't really see why it's not already possible. I understand that the change in resistance is too small when the temperature of Kanthal changes, but measuring smaller amounts is not beyond the next technological advance, in my opinion.

Or maybe I have no clue. One or the other.

I'm sure some of these if not all of them are too, at least born and raised there but, maybe trained by ISIS someplace. Only time will tell.

To be honest I think Patrick has nailed the next step (If there is a next step) and that will be some sort of sensor that actually reads the real time temperature of the coil. Then you'll be able to use almost any kind of wire you want. Some kind of micro IR sensor I'm thinking. However it is going to limit the topper you can use. Sensor and wiring would have to go all the way to the coil and build deck.

I can't find it right now and have to get ready to go work. I thought I had it bookmarked on my laptop. I will see if I can find it later..
