I haven't been around much, been a very busy week and the big days start tomorrow! Managing to keep up with reading, but to post? Na. But wanted to say, Willie, that guitar and your methods are fastinating! Too tired to think of much else to say right now. Busy day tomorrow. Biggest entry ever for the show, lots of "gate" (general public), and hopefully lots of $. Been good so far, better than the last 2 years. Fingers crossed (well, kinds stiff and sore from braiding custom leads!). For those that don't know, we are dog show vendors, make products, mostly leather, for show dogs. Big Eukanuba dog show. Need a good nights sleep.
Good night my friend. Get some rest and I hope the rest of the show is profitable for you.

Hint for that amateur plumbers in the crowd from my experience the last day or so. If you are fixing a leaky drain under the sink do yourself a favor and just rip all the old pipes out and replace them with new. This is the first time I've done that (new sink install) and the first time I haven't had a single leak. Plastic pipe, cleaner, glue and fittings are cheap so it just makes sense. New to old just tends to leak every time. I cut the 1 1/2 inch pipe about 2 inches away from the wall and rebuilt from the ground up. Went together easy peasy and NO leaks right out of the gate.

Yes it is, would be more so if i had smaller hands, but it fits between the thumb and forefinger well.

I worked on the Big Rez at the Four Corners Power Plant for over six years,

Cool! What was the prime mover?

I retired after 24 years as senior electrician from a hydro-electric plant, here in WA. After about a previous other 20 years as a marine (shipyard) electrician. Always got a laugh that it took me 20 years to become a dam electrician!:lol:

If what I am about to say bothers you then rather than snarking back you need to ask yourself why it bothers you...

Dunno about anyone else but I'm getting tired of the rude, snarky, belittling, bullying behavior of several on the porches.

Before you hit enter, when you going insert yourself into an exchange between people where you are not an active participant. Please stop and ask yourself, if some one jumped into my exchange in that way would I have the desire to cause them discomfort ie poke them in the nose, smack them upside the head, drop a house on them? Would I be offended by the unasked for intrusion?

If you answer in the affirmative you might want edit your response before you hit enter.

ETA attempting to peacefully assist with a misunderstanding is one thing stirring the pot is quite another

Advice keep your non-childproof juice bottle caps. They will probably fit on the bottles to replace the childproof ones.

Good advice!

My meds provider has a double-cap. Da meds arrive as childproof and I just flip da cap fer easy opening.

Dave, any idiot can wire. Takes a lot more than an idiot to know WHY you're wiring. :) The profession is quite intricate.

That's what I kept telling the engineers. One exciter upgrade had connections for three ends of one cable.... he couldn't understand why I couldn't install it the way it was designed.

Yeah. I had 7 and downloaded 10 for free. It wiped out my Windows Office, Hearts, Free Cell, Mahjong, Spider and Solitary. Windows Office cost $100 and each game cost $10 each for the full versions. 10 does have a learning curve but I do have to say I like the new updates and apps. Thank goodness I have 2 other computers with the old Windows OS's like DOS, 97, XP and 7. That allows me to play all my old games.
Welcome to the Porches Red!

Hello All. I didn't think I was going to have any Internet until I got home, and in a sense, I still don't, BUT, couldn't resist the urge to pop in and say hello. Won't get into much else, as I'm hotspotting on my phone again.

It took me 3 1/2 hours to drive down to the boot tip of Louisiana, which is where I am now. I was a little concerned about how I would do here, but I have found my way around this base pretty quickly and have jumped right into the routine. They have double the aircraft that I have, but they have keep me pleasantly busy without killing me. That doesn't mean I'm not ready to get the hell out and go home, but I've got this night and two more to go. My accommodations are nice, but there's no place to eat around here. Thankfully I was warned ahead of time, and I brought food.

I hope everybody is well and good and all of that...........I'm way behind, but I'm still alive.

Hubby woke up without a stiff neck for the first time in years both days. I have now managed 5-6 consecutive hours of sleep 2 nights in a row. That NEVER happens for me so I am thrilled.
that's wonderful to hear that you're both doing so much better with these pillows!!!

The Doc is named Slingshot. That's the name of his water machine it's on Netflix.
thanks was going to ask, put that on my watch list. That sounds fascinating. Just told my son about it, he wants to see it too

Thank goodness I have 2 other computers with the old Windows OS's like DOS, 97, XP and 7. That allows me to play all my old games.
Welcome to the porch!! That's why I decided not to upgrade from 7 even though they said you could revert back to it if you wanted after the upgrade. I do need excel and word from time to time.

Good news for me...it's not bad enough yet for surgery, so i'm a happy camper.
yay!! Not in either hand??? So glad you let the doc live and he's uninjured.

Way back when in Indian Guides, I was told (don't know if it's true) that Navaho Indians would always put a deliberate error in any piece of craftwork, because only God created perfectly.
Kenna nailed it......I am also Choctaw, and lived with a remnant band for a number of years. Basically folks from many tribes that banded together. Most if not all would do something like this, and even if the individuals chose not to, it was a teaching very common with most tribes, perhaps all. Many had a specific thing they would do so that you could tell who had done which pieces even. I did this in all of my beadwork and crafts as well.

If you've had a bad disposal experience somebody went cheap. The builders grade that they put in new houses and apartments aren't worth the money folks pay for em. :)
I've wondered about this. I always used to put tater peels down the disposal......I peel with a knife not a peeler, so they are thicker, never had any issue, but totally clogged my son's disposal several months ago with tater peels. Of course my dil had previously dumped an entire fry daddy full of grease down the same sink  But looking it up on the net, seems like you can't put much of nuttin down a disposal these days.

So wish I could be there. Hope y'all do wonderful!!!
