So the duck guys are all gonna die?
Hah! That's not reality. That's just idiocy. I don't even consider them shows. Survivor, gold rush, deadliest catch, naked and afraid... things like that to me are reality. Even tho most are showing their age.

Most call them reality shows because the media trained them to say that.

I can't stand horror movies. I have had too many situations IRL where I got all adrenalined up. Why intentionally induce that condition?

I don't care for them either aside from not liking to watch people suffer they pretty much are just gross and disgusting.
They do not scare me. The people that really like them are the ones that they scare. This conclusion based on observations in my life.
I agree with both of you. When I was little my Grandmother called violent movies "blood and thunder". Used to give me nightmares. Not any more, but gore and guts just don't appeal to me.

i like watching the shows where they live out in the boonies and how they survive
I like those, too. And the law enforcement ones. Alone was ok, but I seriously wanted to slap some of those guys. Bunch of....shut up Kenna.

I follow all the Alaska/Yukon-based reality shows.
Wife and I enjoy them too. We lived in a cabin when we were younger, gravity flow water, kerosene lamps, wood heat, wild game... So even when there is a fakey scene we can pretty much fill in the blanks.
Hi all BTW, hope everyone is having a great Holiday season.

I enjoy Stephen King. The Green Mile, Shawshank Redemption, The Stand and The Shining are just a few of my favorites that made it to movies that I like. I would not have wanted to be his kids. I can hear him at bedtime, "if you kids don't shut up and go to sleep, I'm going to come up there and tell you a story!" "No daddy, we'll go to sleep!"

The Langoliers. Not his best work and the movie was awful. Fact of the matter, with the exception of The Shining, his movies have been pretty bad. Ok maybe not the sledgehammer one by, like I said, I only made it through the first ten minutes.
I admit that when he was hobbled, I couldn't watch the scene. Just the thought of it creeps me out.

I feel the same about those shows as Robert does in his comment below. All reality shows are too unreal for me.

The camera crew eats nice and is comfortable ;)
Pulp Fiction is a movie I won't watch because of the over-the-top violence. Turns me off, scares me, makes me uneasy, puts a knot in my stomach. Misery, however, was OK by me. Don't know why, and I think it would confuse my analyst too.

A few of my absolute favorite movies of all time:

The Fifth Element
2010: (Space Odyssey 2)
Little shop of Horrors (the one with Rick Moranis)
Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home
Spaceballs (Mel Brooks' parody of other space movies)
Forrest Gump

Ya... FINALLY a normal winter day!
Um, not really normal for Louisiana. Mid 50s would be normal in December.

We are supposed to drop to about 40 tonight. All the storms are just north of us, all we got was a littl rain d a few gusts.
I was just looking at the radar to see where all the stuff was at. Looks like most of it will be to the north of us too. Whatever........I'll sleep through all of it anyway.
