@Debadoo, yes, used to be Eukanuba. They did live stream groups which started at 5 pm EST. I believe it will be televised on New Years day.
Jup, that's what I've got in my calendar to remind me. They didn't say, but it should be two nights 3 hrs each unless they've shortened it, which I hope not. I love that one and westminster cuz you get to see all the dogs in the groups judging at least. I watch em all, but those are the ones I love. Also used to love Crufts, but haven't seen that one in a long time. Last time I saw it mighta been when prolly the best Norfolk Terrier ever won and that was Coco! she was amazing. I just looked it up and they said March 8-11 but will have to search and see if it's being televised then or not. I set myself a reminder. I love the way they just let the dogs have natural coats rather than all types of fancy cuts.
I asked him how he did and he said real good.
lol good question! Glad it went well. I have had cataracts for 5 or 6 years, but they were very small when they found them. Need to get an appt set after the holidays to see if they've grown. Seems they are likely larger now based on vision, but prolly not needing surgery yet. Everyone says it doesn't hurt, but it seems freaky. I have issues with folks messin with my eyes. I did get to where I could easily put them in anywhere, but when I first got contacts in my early 20s, it would take me bout an hour to put them in, and come outta the ba
throom lookin like I'd been bawlin for a week!
In February 2016 I visited Las Vegas. While I was there I hung out some with Bud, a horse-owning friend who lives there.
Every year Bud makes a Xmas card featuring Danny (the horse). Here's one of the pictures from this year's card.

Since he is an "honorary" porcher, here are the pictures from Geordi's Big Win Weekend. He didn't like the platform in the first picture, 2nd is much better. Pictured are the judge, G's breeder, me and of course, Geordi!

He's just so gorgeous! Love the purple ribbons of course! love the card with him and Tasha too!
I really wish we had the time and $ to get our puppy (yr old first of Jan) into flyball. I really think he'd be a natural. We thought Frankie was fast, and he is, til we got Ozzy. dil had taken the dogs to her moms for a couple days. I was in my room when they came in......I came out of my room, and Ozzy was across the living room from me. He saw me, he hunkered down, ears laid back and flew across the room to me........He went 0 to Granny in bout a half a second or less!
Well I went in yesterday for my final CT before treatment. It is planned for Wed, Th, Fri, and Tues, and Wed if the roads are ok, We are hoping they will get a chance to dry out some before we go into the deep freeze. Supposed to get to -6 Sat.
Oh also my infection was better but not gone so they put me on another week of Cipro.
hope it all goes spectacularly well!!! and glad the kids will be there!!
Hey if you guys don't mind a lot of swearing or rednecks, The Ranch is kind of a funny series with Sam Elliot, Debra Winger and Ashton Kutcher. But they are definite Rednecks from the word go.
I haven't watched any of it, but I did put it in my list on netflix to check out. Am finally watching The Tudors now and enjoying it. Had started to watch the first episode a long time ago, but just didn't get into it then.
Good morning everybody! Just a quick fly-by. Need to get the Dobas Torte made today and tomorrow will be some final errands. Family arrives on Saturday - it's going to be a VERY full house!! Woohoo!! Even so you all are still going to be on my mind as friends I am so grateful to have in my life.
Right backatchya darlin! You and Mike both! Love y'all oodles! Just thinking about that torte makes me equally exhausted and hungry for it!
Which kicked in my remaining synapse into da 'where in da bayou' is our dear Debra (
roto)?
One of my main reasons for making sure to get on here today. I talked to her a couple days ago for quite awhile. Really nice conversation. Her opposite had some type of surgery so has been out awhile, so Roto has been mostly at work, but some reduced hours, going in later, leaving earlier when she's finished. She did say at the end of this hitch, she's going home for her 7 regardless. Hope she sticks to that. But she did say her opposite is ready to come back, doc has released her, but she has to do all the PT that Debra said was far more demanding than the job when she did it. It's supposed to mimic all the stuff they do on the job, but she said it was more worse and more exhausting.
She wanted me to wish everyone a Merry Christmas for her, and let y'all know she loves us and misses us, keeping many in her prayers each day.
I told ya how much I enjoy Aldi grocery. Well, there's also a new Lidl grocery that's about a mile further away from me than the Aldi.
I went to the Lidl for the first time today. It definitely won't be the last time. This store is about 3 times the size of the Aldi and has awesome meats, seafood and produce. One dozen large eggs was $0.31. That's ridiculous.! You don't have to pay a quarter to get a shopping cart, but the cashier doesn't even put your purchases back in the cart; she loads them onto another conveyor for the customer to put them back in the cart.
Never heard of lidl. We've had an Aldi for a few years, but I've never been in it. The kids have a time or two. This one is supposed to be the best place to get dairy products. Wow .31 for a dozen eggs is fantastic!
I also wanna wish everyone the very best Christmas!! I will have a couple hours with dil's family, but will spend much of it alone.....but that suits me fine. So even for those who might be alone, or just not having the larger celebration you might want. Find peace and joy in the quiet times, and hope everyone has a very blessed Christmas!!
