Good morning! Yesterday I stopped at local store that sells produce and plants and found this little gem. Several women and I were wondering what it is. The sign said Star of Bethlehem, but we don't think that's right. Anybody here recognize what it is?
I've never had one, but I'd say the sign was correct...

Looks like you're right. I should have just looked it up. All my life a Star of Bethlehem was the little plant that grows like a weed everywhere. It has little white flowers and doesn't look anything like this plant. I figured this was just a generic name. Oh well. Now I know this is a bulb and needs full sun and I can enjoy it on my windowsill in the kitchen! I was gifted 2 Amarylis plants that have grown to at least 3 feet tall so had to move them. This lovely little plant can take their place!
Although, this is belated ("My" Bad I was preoccupied, it seems we almost share the same special day) . . .

Well as I mentioned to all the "Lizards" . . .
Yes - Just so happens this time "My" Birthday was a very GOOD day, especially since I was able to share a really special & wonderful quite dinner with a couple of longtime friends (1 friend 40+ Years - the other 20 + Years) . . .

How nice! Long time friends are to be cherished. Janet and I are fortunate to still be close friends with a group of folks from our High School days. We have a long history growing up together and then watching as we transitioned from 'where's the party this weekend' to parents and becoming slightly more responsible raising our families.

Well I thought I better check in. I'm still in nursing home. probably till nexr week, lets see if I can blow your mind. Me and Ginny have split up as far as living arrangements. She is living with her sister who also has cancer not quit as aggressive as Gins. I'm still in Spokane. When I get out of here need to put the house up for sale and going to move in with my daugher temporarily on the west side. Ginnys Cancer is pretty aggressive. I still have to work on my walking. So things are generally screwed up. I have lost so much weight I've lost a lot of strength. Working on that. Once I get over there I will be 20 min away from her so can visit everyday. Once we get the house sold I will ren my own place of perhaps buy. Man this has been a long ordeal. At last weibht I was as 96 lbs and gaining slowly. This is not something I would wish on my worst enemy. I will try and keep you guys better informed but don't have a lot of spare time. Rest Home should be called work home. Getting ready to go to sleep 5am comes early. Then it all day. I haven't seen gin for about 2 weeks. This whole thing is really screwed up. I can't believe wwe are living apart but for now it is the best thing.Well I will try to get back soon and get you guys better informed, but to say the least this is not a way to hsve to live. Tryiing to make the best of it. We can talk later. I still love you guys will be back. I'm doing pretty goo healthwise.
