I know I have been absent from the forum for a while. I still stop by and catch up from time to time. I was sad to hear that our "Iffy" is not well but thrilled that he is doing better and Pray he is soon well enough to be with his Bride again.

We had to help our sweet "Mattie Marie" cross the rainbow bridge yesterday. She blessed my hubby and me with her company for a little over 13 years. She came to live with us March 7, 2007. She was at least 2 years old at the time. She could have been 3 or even 4 years old. There was no way to know her true age. Letting her go was beyond a doubt the hardest decision we have ever had to make but it was actually past time.

We have had several wonderful dogs through the 40 years we have been together but our little Mattie was beyond a doubt the sweetest most lovable of them all.

Rest in Peace my sweet beautiful little girl.

I hope you are all doing all you can to stay safe. Hubby and I didn't get out much before all this mess started but now we go out even less. I've not been away from home since the middle of February. If we really need something hubby goes to get it. He wears a mask and gloves but still washes up well as soon as he gets back home. We live out in the country so there is lots to do around here to keep us occupied while this mess plays out.

Since it seems a lot of us don't catch every cold and flu bug going around I wonder if we that vape have an extra layer of protection to the bug going around now. Would be nice if there was a study to find out but of course that isn't going to happen.

Thankfully I paid head to what will eventually come and am well stocked up on all we need to continue vaping for the rest of our lives. I will be forever thankful to @FlamingoTutu for gifting me a beautiful Dragon Provari. Once I started using it I found out what everyone was talking about. I managed to buy 4 more (2 satin gray, one green and one blue) while they were still at a reasonable price. They are all I use now and are each topped with gs-air toppers. Thank you @MikeE3 for helping me out with my supply of them. I managed to get a lifetime supply of coils for them from fasttech. My e-liquid has very little flavoring in it so each coil lasts me about a month. That helped me figure out how many coils I would need to stock.

Vaping equipment has moved so far away from where I stopped buying anything I am lost when I try to figure out what folks are talking about these days. I am just thankful I found what works for me and was able to stop hunting. Hopefully a lot of y'all are in the same boat. :)

If y'all have wondered where I've been. A little over 4 years ago I got back into fish tanks. I spend a lot of my time over on a forum called Fishlore. I enjoy helping folks out over there with my limited knowledge. I love the fact that that forum is much like this one. The rules over there are much like this one. Number one rule-Be kind to each other. If you can't be kind at least be civil. If you can't do either you won't be there long.

 you all ......

{{{Mattiem}}} I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I know how much that hurts.

A draped pot is made by mixing Portland cement, s-type mortar, vermiculite, sphagnum peat moss, and pearlite and water, then saturating the fabric, like terry cloth, in the mixture and draping it over a cheap plastic flower pot as a mold. You can create some really cool things. Here is an examp0le pic (It's not mine) Mine are to be painted with iridescent flip paints in blue/purple trimmed in white. My garden has an ocean theme. View attachment 880189 Here are a few of my paintings: View attachment 880197 View attachment 880199 View attachment 880201 View attachment 880203 View attachment 880205 View attachment 880207 View attachment 880209 View attachment 880195
Okay.....several, not a few....Oh, I have so many and I can never decide which are the best because just like with writing, what one person loves another can't stand.

I have fun with it and it keeps me busy and focused on things that are beautiful in these trying times. The problem now is that I have no more room on the walls, so I had to quit painting pictures until I sell some.

I need to set up a website or something. There are art galleries all around me but they all want 50% of sales, PLUS exclusivity, meaning you cannot sell your work in a 50-mile radius, including commissions. :nah:

So good to hear from you! I've read about the draped pots and was going to try making them, but never got around to it. Maybe this year.

Sorry to hear you're no longer writing, you're an excellent writer. And you're a painter too! Such talent! Not having that kind of creative talent makes me envious! It's nice to hear you're doing so well after your move and hope you and hubby enjoy your retirement.

Thank you sweetie. Hubby and I are trying to keep busy to help keep our mind off of the pain. We got our garden prepped today and should be able to plant it soon. Gotta wait for the weather to stabilize a bit more first though. The low 30 degree nights are not the best time to plant but at least the outside work is helping some during the day.

I did make a nice ham dinner for us last night, but that's it.
We had our ham a week early. I do like Ham for Christmas and Easter. Actually for Christmas, my last stepmother roasted a duck a few times and wow that was fantastic, but I've never done that.

We are usually at a dog show for Easter, so it was weird to be home and have our roast leg of lamb with oven roasted potatoes and asparagus on Easter! Just seemed like another day, but with a special dinner!
that sounds yummy! I had lamb chops one time when I was a kid. Dad wouldn't tell me what they were til after I'd eaten them, and apparently loved them. Then I cried after he told me. lol

Hello, how is everyone?
(((((((((Skully))))))))) good to see ya.

(((((((Mattiem)))))))) so sorry about your lil girl! we love and get so much love from our pets, and certain ones in particular, but that's the hard part. I keep praying the rapture will come before anything happens to my Wozzles. His name is Ozzy, which became Ozzy Wozzles. He's one of my grand dogs, but he thinks he's mine, and I agree.

It's possible that we may have some extra protection from bugs. PG if I'm not mistaken is both an antiviral and an antimicrobial. I think VG is one of the two but don't recall which one. They typically pipe PG into the room air of hospitals. Glad you've got all the stuff you need. I miss Tutes! Hope she's doing good.

(Susan here) So sorry to hear about @Iffy. We met up with him and Patty often when we took the boat to Bradenton to do Sarasota Bay. Wishing and praying for a speedy recovery. We moved from Orlando to Matlacha Island in June of last year and planned to pop up there to visit him until the Great Isolation hit us. Thanks @Debadoo for keeping us posted.

So sad about your doggie @mattiem. Our doggies are are such special members of our family, it is soul-wrenching to have to let them go. Love and hugs and guiding light.

As for me, I have stopped writing and started painting. I have painted 45 paintings from August 2018. The last 3ftX4ft seascape burned me out so I have been making and painting art stones. I am also making hypertufa pots for succulents and draped pots for my garden. We planted a Meyer lemon tree today to go with our Mango and lime trees. Greg has been totally rewiring his brother's charter boat and doing some updates, so he has kept busy these past few weeks. He's retired now but never stops working. He's also turning wooden and acrylic pens.

May 13th is my 5th vapeiversary. I've gone from 24% to 6% nic. I have only vaped violet flavor for the past three years. I have a HUGE box of flavors I have never used or used little of. I finally settled on a simple concoction after many recipes. I also have a couple of REOs and mini REOs. I don't know what the rules are now, but if anybody needs them, let me know. (sknicholls1) that's a Gmail address.

Please do come by and visit if you are ever in the Ft. Myers/Cape Coral area. Matlacha is just over the bridge on the way to Pine Island. We would love to visit once the Great Isolation is resolved.

Stay safe and be well. ✨❤ Love and hugs. We miss you.
(((((((Susan & RS)))))) lol pass his on to him even if he is retired. :) Good to see you. I texted you a few days ago with Johnny's new address. Glad you posted some of your paintings. I was blown away when I you showed them to me when we talked awhile back. Happy Early 5th anniversary!! So proud of you!!
No one is allowed to buy your purple shiny REO! lol I love that one, and the lacewood that Johnny has. J/K

I've seen those draped pots, but didn't know what they were. I could be wrong, but seems like people did those way back........I mean a few years ago, when I was a teenager. <cough>

Good morning. It was 29 here this morning so I still can't get my plants in the ground yet. Maybe I'll just repot them and wait a bit.

@Debadoo - Thanks, but I don't think of my cooking as a creative talent, I just follow somebody else's recipe and then tweek it to how we like it. Isn't that what most people do? I'm good at copying what other people have done, not usually dreaming up my own stuff. Wish I could draw or sculpt, and even went to classes once and proved that was a mistake! Must have been hiding when those genes were passed out. Doesn't stop me from admiring other people's work though.

Mattiem, sorry to hear about your fur baby. I just ran across a picture of one we lost years ago and oh, the fond memories of her just flooded through me.

Good to hear from you too. I miss you all. Maybe when all of this Great Isolation is over when can have a visit. We are in Matlacha now. A little island village off the coast of Cape Coral near Pine Island. It would be fun to get together.

I didn't know I had any talent either. I just picked up a brush and started doing tutorials from YT and now doing originals. It's a fun way to focus on that which is beautiful.

I'm thinking of starting another book. Not sure yet tho. Hard to take the delayed gratification on such an involved and challenging project.

Thanks, Mike. I have three times that many but I didn't want to take up a half dozen pages on the e-cig forum pages. I'm still learning. Most of those are tutorials but I am doing more originals now. Also working on some mandala art stones. Keeping busy.

This image popped up in my FB feed today. The memories of great stories, laughter, good food, and fun times shared will remain in my heart forever. We love you all.

Okay - I've seen this photo before and I believe sitting there is @classwife on one end and @Debadoo on the other, @MikeE3/@Janet H in the back row, and somewhere @Flowersoul & "Hubby" (?) and @Bea-FL & "Hubby" (?) are there - even @Uncle Willie and I think "Robin" too . . . However, can't remember exactly who is who and who else is in the photo . . . Want to share ? ;)

EDIT: BTW > Very strange . . . Besides the photo, just saw this little ditty: Lounge Lizards / Misfits / Free Thinkers / Bohemians & the Forgotten :: Young at Heart Only

I'm so sorry you had to let Mattie go. It’s so awful, isn’t it? We had to let our Peaty go a few months ago and I miss him terribly. He was the best cat ever.

You and I love the same vapers. When I discovered Provaris that was it. Use them 24/7 and was able to buy enough of them there at their end to last me for ever. I too have a dragon and also a titanium among the rest. And GS-Air tanks are all I use.

Interesting guesses, but here's the group -

Sitting in the back row: is Semi's wife, Classwife,
Back row standing: Mike E, Mrs. C, Matt, Yiddle, Semi, Kay, Iffy and Debadoo.
Middle row: Gregg and Seapeach, Flowersoul
Seated on the floor: Janet H and Flowersoul's husband

Uncle Willie's truck broke down on the way to the meeting so he never did make it.

Thank you Mike. I think I have enough to last for the rest of my life but it is possible I may go through a spell of breaking some of them so maybe a few more wouldn't be a bad idea.

Thank you sweetie. Hubby and I both are having a hard time excepting the loss but I do know one day the pain will ease. I have decided once this lock down mess is behind us I will take all her food and snacks to our local shelter. I am not ready to let it go yet though. Getting rid of it just seems so final. I was able to bring myself to plant some spring time perennials on her grave a couple of days ago though so that is one step toward acceptance. She is in good company alongside all of the wonderful fur kids we've had through the years.

Yep, we are vaper twins. It felt good to finally find a combo that works perfect for me. I am happy you did too. :)

Good morning. It was 29 here this morning so I still can't get my plants in the ground yet. Maybe I'll just repot them and wait a bit.I

I get it, but as Susan pointed out, copying a lot of times is how folks find their talent. And there are a lot of people that can read and follow a recipe, but what they put out is still inedible. So there! :pervy:  I can't draw to save me, and when I first started card making, I began by copying others but changing one or two things (tweaking) then learning various techniques, and soon I was doing my own things. Sometimes that creativity just needs a jump start.

This image popped up in my FB feed today. The memories of great stories, laughter, good food, and fun times shared will remain in my heart forever. We love you all.
Swiped that. I am pretty sure I have pics on a drive that I captured from the old laptop when I got the new one, but grabbed that just to make sure. Speaking of which........

**Calling all photographers** (That means you Mike) Picking on you cuz I know you took a ton of photos of folks, hoping you got a lot of individual photos. But even couples would be fine. I want to get some individual pics of folks here and for those of you who weren't at the Odyssey if you could post or pm one to me that would be great. In talking to Iffy's daughter, I finally asked her if he knew who any of us were. She said that one couple (mike and janet) had sent a photo with their card, and things like that helped him. He does much better on a video call where he can see the person he's talking to (even with family) than with just a phone call. He often doesn't know who it is when it's just a phone call. So.........I thought maybe I could print out a sheet with people's pictures, and their name underneath it to send to him. Maybe they could even use it in his cognitive therapy, but if not at least when he gets a card or a note, maybe someone could help him know who it's from by referring to the photo on the sheet. I'm on here today to copy all the well wishes to print out for him. They've been passed on before this, but I wanted to print it out and send to him. If I could send the photos along with it, that would be great.

@Debadoo thanks for the update on Iffy. But my heart breaks for him and Patty not being together. This is my biggest nightmare…that such a thing might dome day happen to Gary and I.

Any chance they can live together again?
Jup, breaks my heart also. I haven't asked his daughter about this yet, I'm trying not to pry about things too much. I don't want her to feel she has to search out answers for things, she's got so much going on with her own health and family. I'm pretty sure he's in an assisted living type place. She mentioned the photo was in his own little apt if I understood correctly. I don't think Patty would be able to be in the apt with him, she just requires constant attention anytime she gets up. But my aunt and uncle were in a facility where she was on the hospital side of it, and he was in the assisted living side of it, and he could go in a wheelchair to sit with her every day. So something like that might be possible. Right now from the addresses, it seems that they are on the same street, just not the same building.

Ok, well I'm gathering all the well wishes and I can put who they are from, but apparently can't include the avatar of the person. I know there are a lot of folks he would know better by the avatar rather than a real photo. I don't MS Word, only wordpad and google docs. Not sure what is happening with google docs.....a box pops up saying I need to sign in, and before I can do anything it keeps popping up saying I need to sign in. Haven't had this issue before when trying to copy something to it so don't know what the problem is. Wordpad will let me copy the text, but not an image.

Sorry if I am misunderstanding but are you saying when you right click on the avi and save it as...that it won't let you? I just tried it and I could save yours. I realize you would then have to add it to the text or to a page naming the person as a reference for Iffy.

To use google docs you need to be signed in to your Google account. On a computer, open Google Chrome; you will see a little box at the upper right that says "Sign In". Once you have signed in, try Google Docs again. If you're using a portable device (phone or pad) let us know what kind, and one of us should be able to help.

Deb ... much to my surprise my old Photobucket albums from the Odyssey are still available. I gave up on P-bucket years ago when they screwed everyone with the unannounced change to a paid service and locked down everyone's pictures. Which pretty much destroyed 1000's of picture posted to 1000's of forums around the world.

    Anyway

If you click on the 1st picture it starts a photo show and you can click through the album. When a picture is displayed it should look like this. If you then click the 'gear icon' top right there's an option to download the picture.

I just tried all this without signing into my P-bucket account, so it should work for you. Let me know if it does.
