Older Folks and Vaping Back Porch - Part Seven

Well, a new year threatens to come upon us to our continued annoyance, I think we have lived through the Chinese curse with 2016: "May you live in interesting times."
Christmas was, as usual, an excuse to get fleeced by the younger folks and disappointed by the older folks.
The wife and I will be embarking on a new adventure in our living arrangement: we shall become full time RVers, or as we used to call them "trailer people". Will probably move in halfway through January. I told her in order to make our transformation complete we will need a mangy pit bull chained to a stake in front.
I have been neglecting you all by not exposing myself to the forum much lately, it has been for your protection. When depression makes its way through bitterness and anger, it's best to keep my curmudgeonly self away.
Ok, back to my corner.

They were laying under the trees and saw her put out the birdseed. None look underfed.

The biggest one of these gals is a real beech. Anyone comes around where she's eating she kicks them with her front hoof except for one which must be her baby from last year. This one is checking me out

Well Ginny just fed the birds and here they come.

Birds, eh? Same situation at our nature center, which is not part of the parks and recreation department. They're not allowed to feed the deer, but they put the open bird feeders at a convenient height for deer. If you really want to see deer, just go down and look at the bird feeders.

I'm still undecided on what I may or may not do tonight ..

As usual, I'll be setting at home, imagining all the drunks out there trying to make their cars start at one a.m.

Yeah, I would have to concede that is kind of high. I went through a period when I was beginning to accept 220 as one of the good fasting readings. That led to a2c of 10.1, so they added Glipzide to the mix. Much, much better though I also became much less complacent about my diet.

Seems better today and yesterday afternoon. I guess it was not taking my Metformin for a couple of days due to the CT Scan with contrast. Can't put any kind of load on the kidneys until the contrast is out of your system. I'm guessing that my Victoza doesn't work well without the Metformin. Was 93 yesterday evening and I haven't checked it today. Got busy and completely forgot but, I feel pretty good so it's probably less than 200. I'll check in a while.

Actually hope the can't start em. I call New Year's Eve "Amateurs Night." People who don't drink all year get pie eyed and then drive. Picture em bouncing from curb to curb and running red lights. That's pretty much what happens down here.

Very busy day today. Turned of the main breaker outside and proceeded to change out the breaker panel. The old one was Federal Pacific and doesn't meet code any longer. Replaced it with a new GE panel. Getting the old one out isn't too hard. Getting the new one in sux. It's 2 inches taller than the old one so nothing just slipped into place. Turned off the power at around 10:30am and turned it back on around 3pm. Doing it myself saved us around $1500.

been there,, had to add a 2nd one beside it....i can't remember why.. i think it was a safety cut off for the city...anyway,, it was required for a new code.
