Obligatory STEROID WARNING! Thursday is Rituxan day! It's kicking in finally. The last one actually held the full 4 months. Whoop!

They are talking about putting Gin on Methatrexate instead of Prednisone. She has a sort of infection on one of her legs so the Reclast is on hold till cleared up. Her legs are swelling some at night so we have to find out what is going on there and her iron is a little low again taking 2 irons a day which the hemotologist told her wouldn't work so don't know about that either. Between the 2 of us we are a mess but we don't have the flu. We've had a big outbreak of flu on the westside and the kids over here are getting the mumps. I guess it's from people not immunizing their kids. They are going to make it a requirement now.

That would be a most welcome cool-down here!

Currently, at quarter to 11AM, 72°, with no seasonable weather for a week to come on the grain-of-salt extended forecast. We might get a couple days with highs in the 60s. I've got my fingers crossed.

It irks me to run the A/C in January.
Don't blame you!

One of the reasons I like living in NE Florida are the varying temps with the hottest being July, August and some of September.....
Right now, no A/C, no heat.....windows open with a cool sea breeze! Perfect walking weather!

Yes I live in a participating state, yes I applied for the subsidies, and rocked along for a year with it. Then with the newest round of changes, my plan disappeared, as did my subsidies, and the ONE plan available in my area was FAR more expensive than the "penalty" tax. Over a 500% increase. Only a fool would accept those terms, and I am sure the cost of insurance will go down once I am no longer required (as a sterilized older male) to have included in my insurance coverage in case I get pregnant!

Sent from a dark, twisted corner of the back porch, covered in cobwebs and slightly damp.
Ugh we have about 8 more months of Ginny on COBRA then RR Medicare. Her insurance is $1170 a month right now will go down to a little over $300 on October 1st with Medicare and Supplement both RR and her Plan D but her prescriptions will be higher like mine. We've been paying that for 2 years now.

No problem with stairs. They are slightly heavier then my old ones old were about 6.5lbs each these are about 6.9lbs. If i get them retweaked at both the same and loosening resistance more then what I can do, it will be easier for me to adjust. I was shooting to get them like the old ones so had the resistance set stiff and as I get used to the way they move I find I don't need that and I can only change by 10% he can go from 0-100% with his.
I hope you can get them adjusted perfectly!

I've been on Methotrexate for 20 years. I started out on that & Prednisone together. I'm surprised they didn't have her on both. They are pretty much the go to as long as you can take Methotrexate. Not everyone can take it. It is a DMARD, Disease Modifying Anti Rhuematic Drug. It was developed for some types of cancer, but they found out it kicks the daylights out of RA. Prednisone is a corticosteroid, an anti-inflamtory pain reliever. They work great together.

@NCC .......I attempted to send you a PM,but....your in box is full.....:(
No wonder. Wow, I just checked my inbox...440 messages dating back to January 15, 2010 and the most recent being Valentines Day 2014. I see no way to back up, so I guess I just need to do some pruning. It says the limit is 300 messages. But I was formerly a supporting member. I reckon paying your dues gets you a larger box.

Off to pruning ...

I just finished putting together a smaller pc chair..wow, what a difference! The metal mesh back has a curve that exactly fits where my lower back hurts most and the arm rests are much lower than the other one so I don't have to have my shoulders hunched up as I'm typing.

And it's not heavy and cumbersome like the other one...win,win,win:D

Thanks @Kenna that helped her understand it more. She was kinda worried about the methotrexate after reading the side effects they gave her.

I am sure they will. Now that I know how they feel I am loosening resistance on all the settings. When I first put them on I was trying to compare them with what I've been used to for 5 years and these are totally different. So much movement with my foot staying flat on the floor until I step off for the next step. On stairs they flatten out on each step. It's crazy amazing. Oh plus I paired them to my tablet remote for my TV so I can use that at home to adjust them instead of leaving my BT on all the time on my phone.

I definitely would not accept that. Fortunately, I've got Blue Silver + dental for a combined monthly premium of $30.23. There's no way I could afford to be insured at all without the assistance, even though my SS increased by 0.28% beginning this month. 10¢/day just doesn't stretch as far as it used to.
I still don't have optical.

I wish you the best of luck. Hope you can find a better deal for you.

BTW I never could get those kayfuns to stop tasting like cotton [emoji22] I did try going down to 60/40 (but my throat didn't like it) and trying a 2.5mm coil.

I ended up getting a taifun though, the flavor is just OK but for a beater for my work trips, it has what I need. so far only one flight but no leaks.

Those are the two beater setups I travel with (learned early on with vaping, backups for your backups), if I can still get one of the kf5's working I'll switch it out for the rose. I'm still somewhat optimistic that I'm doing something wrong.

I'm less than 300 miles to the west of you. Our unbearably hot months are March, April, May, June, July, August, September and usually October. Many years, such as this one, we get practically no relief at all.

We've only been able to turn it off for one day so far. Was in the high 60s for a day. As I always say "It's another beautiful day in South Florida" wouldn't mibd a little cooler and I can't wait for summer. May fry some eggs on the car hood.;):)
Try cooking some cookies on your dash. Had a co-worker do that and shared the chocolate chip cookies when she came back from lunch.
Speaking of the cold temps we have been having, had a young lady come in one morning and she was really upset. I ask her what was wrong and she said she had bought a bottle of water on her way home from class the day before. She was upset because the water was frozen solid and she couldn't drink it. I ask her where she had kept it that had it freeze. She said she had left it in the car because she didn't want to forget it this morning. I told her that with the temps in the lower 20s that wasn't a good idea. She huffed at me and said, "but I had the windows rolled up"! Somedays I don't miss teaching at all.
I hope this is appropriate:

Maybe that was a good thing to have them more like your old ones in the beginning. It gives you a chance to work up to the difference and then be happy with the change. You should offer yourself as a consultant by the time you've got them adjusted because you're going to be an expert!

Geez, you're going to feel like you hit the lottery in October!
