Damn if his flight didn't get diverted due to weather. Ended up about 1/2 hour away as the crow flies from Palm Spring at some reserve airfield. 364.8 days of perfect weather in Palm Springs and he arrives during the 0.2 days.

I'd heard they were heading to Hawaii, weather in the Pacific in between was the cause.

I consider your posts to be more philosophical than political, and enjoy your prose style. Your leaning is obvious, but not obnoxious.

I now know that's a thumbs up, but from the first time I saw it, it was a hand giving the middle finger. Ever since I have to remember what it is when I see it.

Uh, do you have minimally suppressed anger issues?

Hank is our new 3 1/2 month old GSD.
He's already 39 lbs so he is gonna be a big boy when he finally grows into those ears.

Those ears slay me.....he is such a beauty! That breed has always been one of my favorites; so intelligent, so endearing.

Because we were listening to our peer groups and the advertising monster? And to the doctors recommending it?

Wow! Arthur Godfrey....does that ever bring back the memories! :)

You know Matt I been getting those kind of pains for a while like a month probably longer but thought it was my vaping causing it, the reason I cut my flavoring and nic back even more but lately I'm having a different problem. Just checked my pulse with my oximeter and my pulse is running 59-60 my bp is always low on the low numbet like 128/42 but don't know why my pulse is running so slow. I don't feel bad but it's like my heart is just slowing down more all the time. These heart things get scary don't they. My oxygen sitting is running 95 but if I stand up and walk a little it falls to 87, I don't know what is going on,
Hoping you can get this sorted out soon with your doc, Pat!

I will. He'll be happy he loves what he's doing. Just waiting on his waiver so he can re enlist. The AF looks a little different in his job. He was worried about one thing, him and his buddy the 2 TACP's have been buffing up since they've been over there and he wasn't sure if he had to do it he could carry his buddy. He's really packed on the muscle.

I was smoking here and there when I was 8. My dad would throw a Chesterfield on the hearth before he went out the door. By the time I was 12 I was a full fledged smoker when my mom couldn't see.:)

A good many of us started young. I used to help my uncle at his country store - he sold cigs by the stick since nobody could afford a whole pack - made it easy to get a few everyday...

Does the word Stoopid mean anything to you. We were young, dumb and thought we knew everything.

And as all youngin's know - We thought we were invinceable...

Geez, I'm always run'n, trying to catch up!

It'll keep you trim and thin that way... :)

Well put....animals are humanely euthanized, I will humanely euthanize myself rather than suffer long extended "care"
So very well put! That's always been my worst fear.

What a beauty!

I'm a single white male that plans on staying that way. I've done everything for a living and now fix and build computers for family and friends. Plus repair everything else under Gods creation for them. I smoked stinkies for around 50 yrs. and saw this ecig online so I ordered one and on August 15th 2009 I started vaping and never touched another stinkie. I tried one about 6 mo. ago and got the puff about 1/2 way in my mouth and said how in the hell did I ever smoke these things. I found ECF Jan 1st 2010.
Welcome to the Porches! It's about time you dropped in over here!

That Sucks Matt. I think the procedure is called cardioversion and if I'm not mistaken Daning Heretik had to have it done shortly after her heart valve replacement. I was lucky there it happens to a lot of valve replacement patients and usually they can shock it back into normal sinus rythym but when not pacemaker. Now they have pacemakers that have automatic Defribs in them.
Yup, I think that's what it was called, cardioversion. I had tachycardia that wouldn't respond to medication. The procedure just took a few minutes. And, it worked great.

I know that warfarin can be a real PITA at least for heart valve patients that's why I went with a little piggy. Those other 2 are not for heart valve patients. Warfarin for many is a struggle to keep your INR in the range that they want.
My heart surgeon seemed a little surprised that I had such a strong opinion about wanting a pig/cow heart. I was at the age that they normally go mechanical. The mechanical one is permanent, after all. But, I felt quite sure that I couldn't keep my INR at a steady level. My diet tends to be erratic. Better a good, healthy dozen (or 20) years then a constant hopeless struggle.

You know Matt I been getting those kind of pains for a while like a month probably longer but thought it was my vaping causing it, the reason I cut my flavoring and nic back even more but lately I'm having a different problem. I hope everything's ok. Please, let us know once you've told your doctor.

I am now 65 years of age and so far been blessed with better than average health. Apart from my teeth I have never had many problems. You may have heard the saying an apple a day keeps the doctor away well, I cannot eat apples now but I have opted for the next best....Cider (Alcoholic of course) I am very fortunate I live on what is called the apple isle. Tasmania. Due to New Zealand trying to undercut our apple growers, most of our apple orchadists have gone over cider production and cider is cheaper than beer and wine. Cider is a very good substitute for apples and keeps me healthy and happy.

Heck I feel sorry for you American cousins. Obama might have been a black fellow but at least he got most of your country out of the poop. From what I have been watching of this Trump fellow it truely terrifies me. History repeating itself. The last person that got elected with the type of policies that Trump proposes was that Austrian Corpral and is Nazis. We are starting to build our nuke shelters. Trump is dangerous imho. If he decides to tackle China God help us all. Adolf made the same mistake faught wars on too many fronts. Wars cost money. Who is going to pay for all the wars you guys are fighting now.

extreme growth in debt and unemployment,, low paying jobs is what he created and major race divide....not until his last month in office did he say anything to the black community about their crimes.

trump is loud for sure,, but our system is designed to keep him in check......when the media convinces you to hide,,,,,,its then time to relax

dont put too much thought into the recent 'rally's.......those people were originally scheduled to celebrate Hilary's presidential win,,,,,,,,,,when that didn't happen they re-themed the rally's as 'womens rights'........except republican women were not invited until the day before and only on local news stations.

I went to NJ for a few days to participate in a 40th wedding anniversary celebration for my sister and brother-in-law, who got married less than a year ago. I've explained that seeming incongruity previously.

I flew my quad once while I was up in Joisey. I wanted to fly from my motel parking lot, but whoops!, I was less than a mile from McGuire AFB and I would have had to override the flight restrictions in the software, which I decided not to do. So I flew at a golf driving range.. very unexciting flight that I haven't bothered to upload. So, here are portions of two flights in the fog yesterday and today, back home in NC, featuring a dancing dog, dancing deer and a dancing quad pilot.

No need to explain. I got married twice to the same man, with no divorce between. Got divorced, then was told I had never been married, and danced a jig!!

Not quite the same with my sis and BIL. They've been common law married for 40 years but recently, for health insurance purposes, they ran off to VA and made it "official".

You might want to start with 1 Tbs of vinegar & work up to more. I don't even measure it anymore. & add some honey & ice cubes. I like it. Almost like a lemonade.
