That's just SO wrong! I've heard so many horror stories about doctors (and had my own). Good doctors are precious and rare.I am so ...... off at myself. 10 years ago when I lost my legs I went to a malpractice attorney. He informed me that there was nothing I could do because they had changed the records and it didn't support my story of having 1 episode of anaphlaxis which they pulled me out of and continued to give me the albumin which put me into anaphlactic shock and a coma for 3 weeks causing me to lose my legs because my heart almost stopped. They said it was because of my malnourished condition which is partly true but they didn't follow the FDA procedures. 1 in 1000 develope anaphlaxis which was the first episode and at that time they are supposed to stop the infusion and take counter measures. They took counter measures but they continued the infusion and anaphlactic shock happens to 1 in 10,000. It's too late now because the statute of limitations in this state for malpractice is 3 years. I should've gone to another attorney but this guys was supposed to be the best but he screwed me.
At any rate I'm going in for an iron infusion today at 115pm. They do things a little differently and give you a little and see if any reactions then more and so on. Ginny had it done about a year ago and I have been living with anemia for a long time and the VA sent me to an outside Oncologist/Hemotologist which uses a better form of iron that has very few reactions. At any rate thats where I'll be all afternoon. I'm hoping for the best got one today and one in a week. Maybe I won't look like a ghost.
I'm glad things are going better now.Well I lived through that. It was a walk in the park. How bout you @MattB101 how'd your halter work. Did it show any irregularities. I gotta do this again next week same time same station. Really nice people there. Lotsa Chemo patients. Mine was nothing compared to some of theirs. The guy next to me slept the whole time i was in that oversized Lazy Boy. He had 4 bags of stuff going into him and the guy on the other side showed Ginny how his port works. She was wondering cause her sister had to have one. Mine only took 2 hours poor guy next to me was putting in a 6 hour shift but slept the whole time I was there, fairly young too maybe 35. No problems whatsoever maybe I'll see an end to anemia. Glad my VA Hemotologist retired now people here were much nicer. She said they had 29 people today in for various procedures from Reclast to Chemo. Ginny is going to get her Reclast infusion there she had the iron about a year ago and might need that again.

@ChelsB, welcome to the best porch on the internets!
It's a warm friendly place, with warm friendly Folks. They'll help you anyway they can (ask me how I know) and they'll listen to you 'til the cows come home (ask me how I know).
Sometimes, they even come up with the right answers to your questions!
