Dang Janet that's pretty good. We go to bed about 10:30 every night get up at 5 or 5:30 then take a nap from about 7-8;30 in our recliners and we are good for the day. So I guess that is about 8 hours a day. Dog is on our schedule and then has her own from there. Likes to lay on her pillows in the front window from about 8- 9:30 guarding the house from the pesky squirrels and quail and doves.
Ginny went to her pain management appt yesterday. Sounds like this doc a Dr. Ghassen Nemri was a total idiot. She told him she has to take 2 Hydros to get the same effect as one. He didn't even read the 25 page forms she had to fill out. This guy one of his first questions was what kind of insurance she had and then started recommending injections into the nerve she has that is being pinched. He wasn't worried about the fentanyl at all even though that is the one she wants to reduce. She took the operative report from her stomach sugery and read the first line she told him she was picking up one of her Rxs that day and he wrote her another Rx for the same thing. The one I went to knew everything about me and had obviously read all the papers our PCP sent him. What a waste of time for her. The place she went to was obviously a pill mill. So now she has to go back to the PCP and tell her what this idiot was all about. She is also going to give her the Rx he wrote for her. Oh and he had to ask what kind of insurance she had even though she filled out the forms and had to have her cards scanned in when she checked in.
Ahhh the sun is out the door is open the birds are singing and having Spam and Eggs don't get much better then that. For you Spam lovers Costco has it on sale 8 cans for $9. 35 year shelf life.
Oh and the Gonzaga game is actually televised this game. Can't believe in a city that is Gonzaga crazy they haven't been televised till this one.
I gotta say tho some of them are excellent docs like the Cancer doc that gives me the iron and my heart surgeon who is excellent both are very caring and really follow up on stuff others are just in it for the $$$$
Not only is this thread good at spending money, but it's also good for gaining weight! Last night we had Lays Ripple Chips and Onion Dip with our fried chicken and salad. Delicious!!
Sorry Pat, but now I'm just sooo frickin' puzzled at dis point... especially in light of your near unbelievable survival saga thus far! Not all 'geographically/racially ethnic' doctors are equal, including our own 'American' physicians...

BTW, at least two very kind/caring mid-East professionals aided in my brides continued 10 year survival; beyond her American neurologist's prognosis of 6-12 months! No blame, just gratitude/appreciation!!!
Yes, I continually monitor dat item. Must say dat in recent history, da source is drying up and da grand $ales of a few months ago are near non-existent today.
Thankfully, I took advantage and do not foresee, in my near future, duplicating my feeble failing attempts at 'coil wrapping/wicking'. If it comes to dat, I do know where to go...

It might have something to so with the ones in Weight Loss surgeries. The very top surgeons in that field are Middle Easterners and these guys are good there is one in WA state and one in CA they are both by far the best but will not even talk to Medicare people. This is a shame. Sure I have a guy who can make a change in mine but these guys could completely revise it but won't even talk.

I think this guy-- who has a reality show on the subject, finances much of his patients' expenses from the revenue from the show. Meet My 600-Lb Life’s Dr. Younan Nowzaradan, gastric bypass surgeon extraordinaire They certainly aren't the kind of people who would have good insurance or family resources.
He even does reversals.
