Regardless, I found his communication a positive indicator as to his physical health. But, he's totally aware of the tough row to hoe with the Fentanyl. And is kindly trying to forewarn us as to his near future struggle.

Thanks for the thought. RL stinks, me with TN (lightening bolts in my mouth when I talk, eat, breath etc) and the husband with heart issues (call into the dr to see how soon we can get him in coz the meds are messing him up) plus someone is leaving at work and I'm taking over their responsibilities. Ugh. My life isn't as bad as others here so I'm not complaining, but I haven't felt very sociable. In the meantime, I've been living vicariously through the postings here for which I am very grateful. Vaping and my TN support group has kept me sane (well, as much as can be hoped for anyway LOL).

Doctors now days are something else. A little story about my wife Ginny that had to go to a different pain doc then me. He was mad because she said that she would prefer going back to her regular doc but the reg doc sent her to him because of state requirements. So he was mad because all the people she sends there also say that. So he wanted to know how she felt about injections meaning into the pinched nerve she has that goes to her right leg, he had a pic from an MRI she had after she had surgery on it. He didn't explain them he wanted to cut her fentanyl like she asked and she told him she was also on hydro's for breakthru pain and he wrote her an addl script for perc's on top of that. Didn't even tell her why but for 6 10mg per day addl to her other stuff. She is going to see the reg doc Monday she still has the script he wrote.

Wow. Many of us here live with chronic pain & do whatever we can to get some relief. I can't imagine the mouth pain you are dealing with. At least you don't have to talk to us! Prayers for you!

That doesn't sound right at all. That's way too much pain meds. Waaaay| too much!
