Well, some not so great news for us this week. My wife Julie has found it impossible to get past a job interview for over 2 years now and loved ones have noticed her slipping mentally for some time now. She has been in total denial, of course, and only with carefully worded prodding were we able to get her to agree to an evaluation.
After a 4 month wait for her appointment she underwent a 5hr. mental eval at UAMS in Little Rock and has been diagnosed with MCI (mild cognitive impairment). I'm not so sure I would call it mild, she can't even count change or perform simple arithmetic. She is also unable to answer questions during interviews related to SAS, a software program she has been using for over 25 years. Forgetting things we discussed in the morning by lunch time is now the new norm.
She is, and has always been a worrier and apparently MCI can be brought on by stress, so they prescribed Zoloft, which she determined she had no use for after 2 weeks of feeling groggy.
We don't know what to do at this point other than pray that God's will be done so if you prayer warriors out there would send some our way we would be grateful.

Oh wow. Wish it would that for meLol! Cymbalta is one I tried. It is a "mood elevator". It evelated my mood so much that on the third day I couldn't stop laughing. Had to leave work because I couldn't talk to the customers. I pet sit for my friend, who was my boss at the time. We still laugh about that day. I literally opemed the door of her office & fell in. I couldnct stop laughing to tell her what was going on so I signaled I needed my purse & she called another girl to bring my purse. I handed her to pill bottle & dug for a tissue. There were tears & snot everywhere. She helped me get home, too. I couldn't even drive.

Ughd I occasionally have depression issues but anxiety is the big one for me. Mom has been behaving for several months now (scary!) so the depression hasn't been a problem. I take Serax every night for the anxiety. Dr recently gave me another to use during the day because Serax knocks me out. I've only used the new one a couple of times on infusion days.Oh wow. Wish it would that for meJust makes life bearable for me. My daughter struggles with depression too. I did not know my real mom because I was adopted but apparently it hit her hard enough to kill herself. Just could not imagine life getting that bad, but the depression is a lifelong thing that is bearable for me. The Fibro is not. Whole new set of aches and pains each month
The only AFB's left in WA are Fairchild home of a KC 135 refueling wing here, used to be a SAC base, and Joint Base Lewis McChord south of Tacoma. It was pretty cool having those B-52's flying around.
@Uncle Willie, do you also draw? Is the above work yours?Ditto .. and, very happy to formally meet you, Lonnie .... don't be alarmed, I'm not mining info, it's just when things get a little personal on the Thread, I like knowing the name of the Person rather than just the handle ..
I know it was tough for you to unload .. I've done it many times in bygone posts .. on the other hand, sometimes, it can be quite cathartic ..
A firm handshake to you ..
