Sounds like you are using about the same coil as me 6 wraps 3mm 26gauge. .45ohms. I don't know if you've ever tried it but in TC with the mod hooked to escribe I run that, forget what it's called but makes a graph of your wire heating up to temp and then holding there and you can see how many watts it is using. You are right on. Mine is set a little high but no matter the DNA handles it. Mine shows holding 420 with about 9-10w. I have mine set to 20w with a 1sec 30w preheat with the slide right in the middle as far as punch. Works fine but have thought about turning the power down a little but the DNA does such a fine job of taking care of it it's no biggie.@bigbells The "dangerous fluxuation" was going from .7 - 1.0+ so trying to tailor my voltage levels from 3.5-3.7V on a resistance that changed that quickly, was very confusing. May not have been "dangerous" per se, but it was rather frightening to me at least. As I even got a "CHECK ATOMIZER" warning from the device once or twice during that test build.
@cigatron - My partial point, burnt cotton (rayon) is bad no matter how you cut it. Don't smoke burnt fabrics.
The biggest reason I got nervous, is to me, regardless of what safety features are on the device, I treat it as if it were a mech. A short, is a short, is a short, is a short. And to have my resistance change that quickly, is rather disturbing to me. Whether it goes up or down, to me, it doesn't matter, any change, be it .000001% or 100% is something I avoid. It tells me that something is wrong, but after having read the responses, and after having tinkered with my settings a bit, I found the culprit of the TC issue, as well as the wattage issue. Wattage is going to change no matter what. TC shouldn't change too much, but over time, it will, as the wire wears down. 316L Stainless is very sensitive to input causing the resistance to change. I didn't notice it too much in N-80, N-90, or KA-1. But with stainless, you definitely know it right away, first hit would be smooth, 2nd hit, harsh and hot.
And yes, the wires were trapped underneath the screws and they were WRAPPED around the screws before being tightened down. No legs were in contact with any other part of the coil, atomizer assembly. This is why I tested everything before putting the tank together.
Goofy. Why were they so much even if they were British. I didn't even know there was a British Amazon. Some things in life can be really messed up.
I went to Amazon to get a couple of DVDs that I wanted.
total for the 2 = $170!!!!!
sheesh.
well. The DVDs are British, so check there, and total US = $32 for those two plus 2 other ones.
Guess where I'm getting it from?

Still a lot more good stuff than badAnd people wonder why I don't come on as much any more.

Geeze, hope you get it soonWell my flavoring after 7 days of leaving Jersey City has arrived in Warrensdale, PA. Typical. The PO is going to try to get hold of them tomorrow if it doesn't get shipped out to somewhere else. Possibly it is a small enough town someone will actually look at the address or you can go pick it up Mike.
Glad you got it workin. Good to see ya!Problem solved! Got 316 working on TC mode. Failed to look at some of the TC settings first! I had preheat set to 100W with a punch set to 11 and the timer set to 1. So, I dropped the power down to 50W, Preheat Punch to 5.4, and the time to .5 seconds. Red coils, solved. Tastes amazing still, now maybe I can put my stainless tank section back on! YAY!
Awww, CW, thank you for trying, Darlin'! But it ain't happin'n! I use Hex Ohm mods & there is no TC there. I have a few smaller Isticks for out & about. I have an issue with math called Dyscalculia. Simple stuff I understand, & can handle, although sometimes I have to come at it from a different direction than usual. I'm usually ok with basic math & a tad beyond that. But it stops beyond that, my mind just goes blank. I know what I need to know to make my coils, what amps to look for when buying coils, & I vape at such low power levels that I'm safe. TC involves concepts that make my eyes roll back in my head. Some math I'm great with. Like money. I worked with money my whole life. With the help of a calculator, because I can't math anything in my head. It's a mystery!I will convert you Kenna, to be a TC loving machine. I like TC. It's usually a set it and forget it thing. Sometimes it can be finnicky, but when you nail it in, everything falls in place, and you never regret it. No more burnt hits, no more monkey farting around with checking juice every 5 minutes, it's just easy after you dial in on what it needs to be.
Poor lil Abby. Glad the tranq helped a little at least. Did you check to see if the vet had a lower dose? Then you could maybe cut it in 1/2 if it's still too much.Excuse me for a while, I'll be out back building an ark. It's pouring rain here and looks to continue it for a while. Lots of lightning and thunder too, Abby is hating it. Since we moved down here she has been getting worse and worse about thunder. We got her a "thunder shirt" but it's not helping much. She was flipping out so bad this morning that we gave her a little bit of doggie tranquilizer. Vet gave it to us for travel and it was much, much too strong. A quarter of a pill messed her up so bad that she pooped all over herself. Today she just got a little bitty shaving on a piece of cheese. Seemed to have worked. She's in my lap right now. Still shaking a little but, at least she's not hyperventilating like she was. Looks like it's going to be a long day. I used to really be able to enjoy a good thunderstorm but, since she's been flipping out so bad it's kind of taking the enjoyment out of them.
Me too. I am so grateful to be living with my daughter and grandchildren! For so many reasons.Jup! I am so grateful that I have my son and dil. I am much better off than many, and mostly could make it on my own, but there are a few things that would make it very difficult/scary.
My grandmother's favorite spot was at the kitchen table because she loved to watch all the wildlife in the back yard. Cardinals were always my favorite. Such a bold flash of color! That is so cool to watch the babies come out to play in the water. There are several Cardinals here. They have a pool, & a birdbath, plus it's been pouring rain for several days now. It's been fun to watch the birds & squirrels at the birdbath & feeders. Even with all the rain, they go for the birdbath!
I can watch feely shows every once in a while. But, they're too intense to handle on a regular basis. I never watch them voluntarily. The rare time I accidentally stumble upon one is enough for me.I cannot watch movies that make me cry. It takes too long to shake it off, & I struggle for days to get over it. I do rent them for my Mom to watch because she enjoys them, but I can't do it. No feely shows for me.
Good morning!Ummph! Anyone else have a problem getting on last night? Of course, I was on my tablet rather than the desktop, but that shouldn't have made any difference!! ECF was the only site with which I had a problem.
Oh and good morning!!
That was with 1/4. Today she got a sliver.Poor lil Abby. Glad the tranq helped a little at least. Did you check to see if the vet had a lower dose? Then you could maybe cut it in 1/2 if it's still too much.
I goofed again this was suppposed to be from Daves post.
