Thatz my problem here. Nearest "local" channel iz a 2 hour drive from here. And they fight anyone trying to set up a satellite station.
That's sort of my problem too only about 15 miles as the crow flies but lotsa hills and valleys and trees between here and there. Costco has a nice 60" 4K but they want 1K for it and its a smart tv which I don't need, Samsung rated 5* but what I like about Costco is a 90day rreturn policy no questions asked 2nd year warranty free. Well since virtually no one iz broadcasting anything 4k and kodi... may not either. Pointless and waste uv muny.

Johnny, I agree .. although I'm still not quite ready to cut my Cable Cord .. my setups are still in Beta ..
.. I'm also pretty much in the same camp as Dennis mentioned a while back :: KODI likely has a limited life expectancy .. the ISP's will come under pressure by the content folks at some point, as popularity grows .. I'm pretty sure in the UK it's already been put under fire .. however, the good news is, it's not going to happen overnight and the likelihood that KODI will more than pay for itself until then is good .. especially with CATV bills such as they are these days .. and, it's pretty much the CATV providers that bring this kind of stuff upon themselves by being the Cartels they are ..10 best Kodi sports addons in 2015 for your HTPC
Yeah theres that and on the + side is the channels here have like 2 or 3 extra channels not available on Dish but either OTA or Xfinity. One of the builds I saw in a video was named Xfintity wonder if it is related.
Plus that guy gave shortcuts to add the builds that will add all the things that are needed to set it up for watching the long way you have to add separately.

The box you ordered iz pretty well set up already. Doubt you'll need to add anything. There are even um... shall we say... mature thingz:
Oh goody free porn or do they take you CC. We have a huge buck in our backyard. He's a whopper. Actually the neighbors backyard I can see I'm going to have to get my camera out and possibly use it soon. Much better pics then the phone. Not as handy but does a nice job Canon Rebel.

Don't blame me. I am trying hard not to let the hubby hear about this thing. Last thing I want is one more thing wired into the home theater. I can't figure out how to do more than turn on the TV and change the cable channel now. I dang sure do not want anything else complicating it more.
Hubby bought a Blu Moo setup and promised to set up easy macros on my iPad for me so that I could acutally do things like play a DVD but he has yet to actually do it. He keeps saying things like "But it is so easy without it." I keep saying if it involves more than one remote it is NOT that easy.
