Well heard from Dr. Trotter today and he said that they can't have animals there allergies so might look into a room. He said if she could stay in the garage it would be OK. She has separation anxiety when Ginny drops me at the door to a place and goes and parks. The really good dog place in town wants $40 a night for 5 nights then $30 a night. He said I would have to be there for at least 1 week if I was slow to recover 2. I have to take 2 of these smoothies a day which contain 2 scoops of Metagenics Ultra Meal 1 scoop of Metagenics Perfect Protein for about a month prior or I need to have a feeding tube with round the clock nutrition for 3 weeks. That will cost about $250 for the supplements maybe 300. He says I have to get built up. I lost another pound.

I just uploaded a video of our kitty. Her name is Spooky, but as you'll hear, I usually just call her kitty or kitty-cat. She loves to ride on my Mom's walker and usually jumps right up there whenever she sees it in motion or suspects it may soon be. Maybe she just wants to make sure Mom gets her exercise. She's grown to be a large cat, at less than one year old. I kid my Mom that she's part black panther because she's so big. Spooky kind of shares my love of stormy weather. Well, kind of ... but, maybe a bit more leery than I am. She's a typically curious cat, though.

I absolutely loved the video, @NCC! Your Mom seems to be in disagreement with you about Spooky's gender. :)

Yeah, she's pretty consistent about referring to her male dog as she, and the female cat as he. I kid her about it.

Bonus-
I went to the school website and printed a copy of her transcript (3.8 gpa :D). My wife is taking that and the cert. to the insurance agent for a good student discount on our auto ins... just in time too, it renews on the 21st... yeeehaaaa!

Think I'll make this my every-Friday morning anthem :

My Sis is just a font of info:

Here are some little known facts!

  1. THE CAR HEATER
    1.png
We all owe our thanks to Margaret A. Wilcox, who invented
the car heater in 1893!
(Margaret also invented a combined clothes and dishwasher.)

2. Monopoly
2.png

This popular board game was designed by Elizabeth Magie
in 1904, originally called the Landlord's Game. The purpose of
this game was to expose the injustices of unchecked capitalism. Her game was ripped off by Charles Darrow, who sold it to
Parker Brothers 30 years later. However Parker Brothers later
paid Elizabeth $500 for her game. Gee, thanks!

3. The Fire Escape
3.png

The fire escape was invented by Anna Connelly in 1887.

4. The Life Raft
4.png

The life saving Life Raft was invented by Maria Beasely in 1882. (Maria also invented a machine that makes barrels.)

5. Residential Solar Heating
5.png

Solar heating for residential housing was invented by
Dr Maria Telkes in 1947. Dr. Telkes was a psychiatrist in
addition to being a solar power pioneer

6. The Medical Syringe
The medical syringe that could be operated with only one hand was invented by a woman by the name of Letitia Geer in 1899.

13. Closed-Circuit Television Security (CCTV)
13.png

Marie Van Brittan Brown invented CCTV in 1969 to help people ensure their own security, because of the slow response of police officers. This invention influenced modern CCTV systems used for home security and police work today.

14. The Modern Paper Bag
14.png

Margaret Knight invented a machine that makes square-bottomed paper bags in 1871. She almost didn't get credit when Charles Anan tried to steal her work, claiming that it wasn't possible for a woman to create this brilliant invention. (Margaret also invented a safety device for cotton mills when she was 12, still in use today.)

15. Central Heating
15.png

Although Alice Parker's invention in 1919 of a gas-powered central heater was never manufactured, her idea was the first that allowed for using natural gas to heat a home, inspiring the central heating syste

17. Computer Software
17.png

Dr. Grace Murray Hopper invented COBOL, the first user-friendly business computer software system, in the 1940's. She was also a rear admiral in the U.S. Navy and the first person to use the term "bug" in reference to a glitch in a computer system when she literally found a bug (moth) causing problems with her computer.

Also in the local news this week-

Wednesday, I installed a Wifi router in our county Senior Center building. The director wasn't there, she took a bus load of seniors on a day-trip to the state capitol.

Wayne let me in... I'll tell y'all about Wayne later, he's a sport!

I'd already scoped out the existing equipment (DSL + a Sonicwall that the state put in front of the payroll entry system) and I'd programmed the router firmware here at the house, so it was a plug-n-go install. I turned off the 5ghz radio, named the Guest account 'Senior Center' and made a simple password - so as to minimize any confusion for the Srs. with smartphones when trying to connect. I walked all around the bldg. with a wifi signal strength meter app on my smarty phone, and got good signal everywhere.

Showed Wayne how to connect his Android phone so he could help others, and plan to go next week with printed instructions for both Android and iPhones. Also brought home 3 old (XP Pro) tower PCs donated by a local company, and will see if I can install USB wifi adapters and make them work. If not, we're gonna petition the state to give us a couple-or-three computers.

It's been a good week here, weather-wise and otherwise. I had (paid) work most days this week, started a lot of projects, but didn't finish anything to the point of collecting$. So I had a $0 week, but it was a good one!

Great weather today, great week... think I'll take the day off!

She likes the ride, & that slurping fresh rain water off the grass. She's a beautiful kitteh!

No one told me it was 'pet photo day'! ;)

Good thing Putti Tatt helped me last weekend to rewire an old light we have hanging from a tree in the woods behind the house:
