Has this ever happened to y'all?... it's a first for me:

I clicked 'Like' on this post of Gary's and a page popped up that said:

"Are you sure you want to Like this post?"

Whut?...

Well... uhmm... I ~thought~ I did... why do you ask?

And if I say 'yes' what will that mean?

Will it 'mark' me... or put me on a 'list' of people who 'like' Gary?, or just put me on a list of people who actually comprehend Canadian spelling?

BTW Gary, in your signature, you misspelled 'langwige'... everyone knows it has a 'd' in it!

Y'know... like ham & cheese samwidge!

Yesterday we were forecast to have severe weather so I cleaned out the wimp cellar and made sure the TV in the workshop was ready to use. I have an old analog TV and a converter box hooked up to an inside antenna that I sometimes use while in the workshop. When we are under a tornado warning, I watch the weather on the local NBC station and track the tornados. If there is one coming close to us I will then go into the cellar. My neighbors have spent more time in my cellar than I have. Long story short, we did not have any of the storms here where I live. The storms were East and South of us. I am not sorry about missing the strong winds and hail that were predicted. But it is Springtime in Oklahoma so I would rather be prepared than caught without having things in order.

My conundrum is, I don't want to get into the >500 range just yet, but I do want the long-range, GPS, and good camera... so I'm gonna shop the $200-500 range for the best deal.

Or, I could just go out and buy a Phantom 4 Pro Executive kit for $3099!!! :D
That kit is overpriced for what ya get with it, and the Phantom 4 Pro is proving less troublesome so far than the Phantom 4 Pro Plus, which is what that kit has.

You need to define long range.

For under $500 there's only one sensible choice: DJI Phantom 3 Standard with 2.7K Camera and 3-Axis CP.PT.000168. You'll get range of around half a mile in open areas.

I bought one of those little palm-sized quads off Amazon a few months ago, and I think I may have solved a couple problems I had with it, for zero cost - battery life and camera quality.

Two 18650s salvaged from a laptop battery pack, and a Graflex 23 I've had for ~35 years:

I still need to break out the duct tape and bailing wire, but I ~think~ I can make it work!... probably need more batts to power lift-off, but I got plenty. ;)
Oh, never mind, see you've solved the problem of what drone to get.

Yep, it happens on occasion. No penalty for clicking "yes".

Anyone who's got Amazon Prime can watch my little brother's 2009 movie for free. Nudity and cussin'.
