oh that is just too cute!!Ginny went out and put some peanuts between my old Honda and the Motorhome. The squirrel is happily grabbing one at a time taking them to the other side of the driveway and burying them. There is a little tiny Chipmunk watching him from somewhere and every once in a while zips out of the hedge and unburys one and takes off with it. The squirrel always checks all his spots and sometimes moves them but can't figure out where one disappears to every once in a while.
and now we know why! They say a squirrel only recoups like 80percent of what they bury, haha
Most of the jars use too much oregano for me, since I'm not a huge fan of that. I just add more basil.
That I can't go with ya on bubba. I loveeeeee cilantro. Can't get too much of it for me. I even put it in my turkey and stuffin at Thanksgiving. Sounds odd, but it really is greatDitto! Think dis has been cussed & discussed b4. But da same goes fer Mex cuisine wid cilantro overload!

I just pick a sauce & use it. I always add tomatos or the zuccini in tomato sauce, onion, garlic, & a can of Italian seasoned tomato paste. The tomatoe paste helps the sauce stick to the pasta.hoping it won't be too bad, but if they say no coffee, ask about cold press, because it really cuts out most if not nearly all the acid!
Jup! Forgot about that, we've done it with both fresh and frozen and it works great either way
I love raw turnips, but can't stand em cooked. Been asking the kids to get me some turnips for awhile now, but son always says he can't find em.
Sooooooooo happy for you!!! Glad you're so tickled with yur new hobby! But you are gonna be so broke now. lol Nice your wife got a 1/2 day off too.
That is incredible what you do for both the cats and the ladies. Love the hammocks!! If it were up to me, I would like to foster for dogs. I'm so not a cat person. It's great your cat gives em lessons to socialize them. Adult critters can teach the babies so much better and more than we can.
lmao......hope ya didn't end up sleepin on the recliner or in the RV
didn't think there was any such thing as a good canned sauce. lol Unless you're also including jarred. I used to start with a jar and add stuff, but finally just starting using just mater sauce and adding more stuff. Same stuff, just more of it. Cheaper and better to me. Most of the jars use too much oregano for me, since I'm not a huge fan of that. I just add more basil.
or improves it!![]()
I love watching the wildlife! The animal menagerie is pretty funny today. The Quail are chasing each other back and forth accross the yard and Ginny went out and put some peanuts between my old Honda and the Motorhome. The squirrel is happily grabbing one at a time taking them to the other side of the driveway and burying them. There is a little tiny Chipmunk watching him from somewhere and every once in a while zips out of the hedge and unburys one and takes off with it. True! My Mom puts too much onion in beef stew. All I can taste is onion. And I love onion!Ditto! Think dis has been cussed & discussed b4. But da same goes fer Mex cuisine wid cilantro overload!
Aromatics are fer a lil' enhancement, not da day-um main dish theme... <oh, look at moi wid all my Michelinstars/comets/asteroids/star farts...>
True! My Mom puts too much onion in beef stew. All I can taste is onion. And I love onion!
lmao........now this I agree on! Cept it's hard to get too much garlic for me either.WHOA dere ya Lone Star gal! Ain't ne'er had too many/much onions in a stew of any nature... just ain't possible. Ya must be thinkin' o' dose unroasted vampire breath mints....
I can do rosemary if used VERY lightly. Love basil. Have never tried fresh fennel but have always wanted to. I'm not certain, but I think it's the fennel seed in italian sausage on pizzas that gives me heartburn.I had some hamburger stew tonight. Asked the cook what herbs were in it. I could identify the rosemary. She grows her own and dries it. Rosemary, basil, and fennel. I have those. Worth a try. It was nice.
Yay for garlic! I love a chunk of onion with a bowl of pinto beans, or greens, on a burger or sandwich. Almost anything. But when there is so much onion in a stew that the carrots h potsoes taste like onion & the stew meat can barely be tasted around the onion, that's too much onion. Her taster is broken anyway. I won't complain to her tho. There are very few things she will cook anymore h she considers them her specialties. So I keep her supplied. It's not easy to get her to get up & move around some & help out, but she'll do it for meatloaf & beef stew!WHOA dere ya Lone Star gal! Ain't ne'er had too many/much onions in a stew of any nature... just ain't possible. Ya must be thinkin' o' dose unroasted vampire breath mints....
