Ahhh! Remember how special the 1st vaperversary was? I was so tickled not to stink and have those awful ashtrays around. I still have a blouse with a burn hole in it. Now it's just a very pleasant way of life.

HI THERE! It's great that you stopped by! Hey, embrace the chocolate. Didn't you hear, it's good for you. You'll be well anti oxidized!

What a great day! And it's so nice to be able to picture it all. Look'n forward to some pictures.

Gorgeous, really gorgeous! I'm sure the picture doesn't do it justice.

Looks like we have a winner! 9 years ago I'm not sure I'd even heard of vaping. You were on the cutting edge!

Lol...all that was available back then were the white/red tips ones that looked just like cigarettes.

The Olive Wood is actually an excellent choice for pen turning ..

I once saw a miniature pitcher made from olive wood. It was gorgeous and looked durable. Do not waste any time on Russian Olive though. It's no relation to real olive, and its very variable hardness will defeat you every time - unless you are just doing cute freeforms.

I received the order for the Olive Wood blanks. I was a bit hesitant when I ordered them, it was the first time I had bought any wood blanks sight unseen and I wasn't sure if there would be any good coloring. I will let you be the judge.

I have to do some running around today so I'm not sure if I will have any time to turn a pen today or not. When I get one turned I will post a picture for all to see.
The ones with all of the dark streaks are beautiful! I see one that you could use Cigatrons fill technique on.

So many lost loved ones in this thread...so many on the Forum too.
Several years ago I got Sarge to set up the Resting in Peace title for me, I didn't like the "Moved On' when an account of someone that passed was closed.
I have a thread in staff private area where I keep notes of all that I have set to Resting in Peace.
When you know of someone that has passed you can let me know and I'll take care of their account.

It's amazing how much you come to truly love people here on ECF that you have never met.
Those of you that I have met I love even more ! You are in my heart forever.
(Yes Iffy, you are at the top of the list !)

And someday I will get to meet Willie and give him a huge hug :)
That is so sweet Classy! Thank you!

Nice! Really nice of you to do that.

Dennis is doing ok, but he will not be returning to the BP. :(

Doh! Now that's not nice to hear ... the part about him not coming back to the porch.

David, at my age, I'd luv to repeatedly repeat parts of my past! OK, anyone got a clue as to what I forgot...

For me, it's the 60s. And the 1760s, too, can't remember a thing I did then...
