Geez UW ... I'm way off the east coast of Australia in the middle of the South Pacific Ocean and I can't swim. Got any other useful freebies?:D

Sure, Mike .. as you're slowly sinking, see if you can get a signal on your waterproof device and stream all the free Amazon Music you like within the very limited time you have left .. ;) .. may I suggest something from "The Little Mermaid" .. ??

Amazon Unlimited Music 30-Day Trial for free
Amazon offers an Amazon Music Unlimited 30-Day Trial

Be sure and cancel before you check out, or you will be charged at the end of the Free Trial .. ;)

Well, folks, I spent time in the workshop and delved into the Olive Wood. It is a very soft wood to work with and it took me some trial and error to not split the wood. I pulled some really rookie mistakes but finally got it all figured out.

Sweet .. :)

And while I am sharing pics - here is one of the cheerful couple that we visited...

And since I showed the Sunrise over the ocean I might as well show the Sunset over the river...

View attachment 648319

Added to my collection .. :)

Sunrise was nice this morning, and came with a 'twist'.

Barely peeking over the horizon, from 393' directly above my house, facing due East:

Turn around 180 deg. facing west, and the moon was still up too!

That's the little community <1/2 mile from my house. A railroad crossing, a little country store, two churches, and a post office.

Sublime .. :) .. are those a screen grab / or a snapshot .. ?? Are they "out of the box" or do you do any post processing .. ?? I'm still riding the fence on a possible purchase ..

Good morning, everyone... I know that it's been a very long time since I've made it by here, and I'm so far behind that I fear it would be impossible for me to catch up at this point... but it's been a long weekend and we've recently gotten some rather disheartening news on the medical front. I know that quite a few of you have been following our journey, and I wanted to make time to come by and give y'all a bit of an update. My Darling Bride had CT scan on Saturday, then brain MRI, full body bone scan, echocardiogram, and an EKG on Monday as a screening for a clinical trial that was supposed to start today. Yesterday was an appointment to get the results of all the scans and talk about the trial... we got bad news. :(

The scans showed significant tumor growth and spread. The tumors in her right lung have continued to grow, as well as the few tumors in her chest wall. But now they have found that she also has tumors in the liver, the right humerus, bones of the pelvis, both femurs, right fibula, sternum, skull, and spine. Also found a small 1cm tumor in the left cerebellum. That small little tumor in her brain disqualifies her for clinical trials. We have an appointment next Monday with radiation oncology to discuss the findings in the brain, and possible treatment options. If we can resolve the brain tumor, then it may be possible to resume clinical trials. Either way, it was very hard news to take. Her spirits are still up, and she is still fighting with everything that she has. I will continue to do my very best to keep her happy and to support and love her in every way that I possibly can.

So good to see you here, and giving us an update. Sad to see the discouraging news, but glad that both of you are fighting it.

Thank you. I'm sorry that I've been MIA for so long... I keep trying to do better, but I keep sliding by the wayside. One of these days, I'll get my act together...

Screen grab.

So far, I've video'd all my flights - and to take a snapshot you have to stop the video recording. So I just play the vid, pause on a good scene, hit Alt-PrntScrn, and paste it into Paint to crop and downsize it (to 720 pixels).

Also, I need to get some filters. At least a Sky 1B and a polarizer, possibly some ND of various densities. I think the 1B would have helped a bit with the haze this morning.

Yeah... I'm just a regular ray of sunshine. I hated having to share that... but we absolutely appreciate the prayers, Classy. I sincerely hope that one of these days I'll be able to come and share some good news...

:) And I so dearly appreciate that! I've had a lot of y'all on my mind lately too... I need to try to read back through the posts to see how everyone has been. I absolutely keep all of the Porchers in my daily prayers, and I hope that everyone is hanging in there!

And I sincerely hope you and your sweet bride have some good news soon too!

You may have been kidding about the 'ray of sunshine' but you are an inspiration for sure! To keep a stiff upper lip in the face of what y'all are going through!

Sorry, but I couldn't bring myself to 'like' your earlier post... they should have a 'I read that' button. :)

We keep praying and fighting, brother... that's all we know to do!

Ha! Yeah, I was definitely kidding with that comment. I feel more like the "dark cloud of doom". I can tell you this, though... I am nowhere near being the source of inspiration that my Darling Bride is. In another conversation earlier, I said that if I were in her shoes, I'd be an utter wreck at this point... I'd probably just wander off into the woods and disappear. But she faces it head on with her chin up. She amazes me every single day of the week...

I know what you mean... I have lost count of the number of posts that I would have used that button on!

For Earth Day, NASA is offering a slice of The Earth for Free Adoption, 64,000 pieces are available .. of course, you don't actually get to own your Piece ..

I claimed ::

https://climate.nasa.gov/adopt-the-planet/#/explore/52625

You can get one of your own at ::

https://climate.nasa.gov/adopt-the-planet/#/

I was able to learn more about my adopted hunk a hunk a Earth on NASA’s Worldview website, where I could view air quality, vegetation, and more on the adopted slice of land from NASA’s Earth Observing System Data and Information System.

Ultra Hip and absolutely Free .. :)
Mine is out in the Pacific looks to be about 500+ miles off of the southern part of S America. Nothing but water.

@2legsshrt has been AWOL from the Porches for several days. Do we need a search party?

No I check on it but have been feeling pretty weird lately. Haven't even started cutting the patches down yet. Trying to get off the Xanax and cutting down on the breakthrough pain meds. Man that Xanas is a beech. I tried to cut it completely out Monday. Got down from 1.5mg-2mg to .5mg and when I went to bed my brain was working at 1000mph after 2 hours of laying there I took some. I had no idea this stuff was so addicting. I have a doc appt today. I'm down to .5mg and 6-10mg pain pills from 1.5mg and 8-9 pain pills. Plus trying to get used to my new glasses from the VA. I had no idea about the xanax been on them for 5 years.
