He was so mellow, I just can't picture him ever being upset by anything, but he probably did get that way at times. I just can't believe he makes it look so easy, a schmear here and a smear there and it came out so good. We watched him for about 3 hours today.

Does anyone know a good brand of Imitation crab that works well when cooked. I know the stuff from Costco seems to be a good one but some of the get gummy when cooked. Costco usually has the top brands. Ginny picked up some cookbooks at a garage sale they wanted $10 for some and 2 or $3 on some of the paperbacks or make offer. She offered them $1 for 5 Betty Crocker ones and I guess he said Yep don't want to carry them back in the house. Creamy Crab Au Gratin says you can use imitation.

Hey @bigbells have you tried that Q on TC yet. That board and the 350J both work excellent with SS316L. On those 2 models 350J and 450 a TCR of .00088 works great and they sample the temp 10 times faster then the 350 board. The 350 you seem to me to need just a little higher. I use .00090 on my M's. Still very good but the other 2 are better. They are smooth tho, You can't really tell they are using frequency modulation, what Busardo called it, a little different from PWM. Oh and also don't forget to set your atty resistance and compensate temp. I set mine to 21C. Don't forget to do that or you'll get a mouthful of burnt cotton.

I haven't been able to connect to SXi-Q... it's frustrating. I was able to connect 2 days ago but wasn't able to update the mod or put in new settings. Then, I wasn't even able to connect. I don't know if I did something wrong, but SXi-Q thinks my mod has the 550 chip when it actually has the 450 chip.

The reason I need to update is that there is a setting in SXi-Q for SS 304, which is what I have. In the current settings of my Q class, there is only a setting for SS 316. This thing is so beautifully smooth in power mode but the Yihi software has so far proven to be beyond me. Gad, EScribe is such a piece of cake compared to SXi-Q.

I honestly don't even remember how to hook up to update since they stopped updating the ml. I know you have to. I know you have to go into the menu on the mod itself and turn link on or it will not connect.

click the fire button 5 timesThat will put you into menu then click 1 at a time till you get to where it says, you have to be in joule mode, till you get to where it says what coil material it is set for then click the up or down button till it coil select manual TCR then click 1 more time and set the TCR using the up and down buttons.

Once you get that set then hit the fire button till you get to exit hit the up or down exit then press both up and down and hold it till the resistance pops up it will automatically go to temp compensate when you let off the buttons and set that to around 21c. Then your all set you can set your joules and temp. You have to remember to do the resistance thing every time you change the atty. Except in power.

You did turn the sensor off so it doesn't change things when you lean it one way or another right.

Excellent! Got it, thanks! Now all I need to do is make me an SS 304 coil. I think it's been over a year since I made a coil.

I also can't remember if the TCR on the Q goes out to 6 places or 5 like the m. If it goes to 6 the TCR would be .001016

I strongly suspect that the package is not properly addressed, resulting in a snafu every time it goes through an automated sorting process. I hope that when you finally get it, you'll take a picture of the address label before you open it so that we can try to figure out what went wrong.
