For those of those wunderin about kodi. Here's a tutorial about adding one add on (among thousands). And if I didn't mention it before... 99.9% are free add ons. As is this one.

If you have kodi, this guy does a few a week so a good one to subscribe to.

That's the problem. I did ALL of that. Plus turned off network data. Basically the phone is set up to only do voice calls and text messaging. Still drains the battery at an alarming rate. My last phone would go 4-5 days between charges. This one needs to be plugged in by lunch time, and again before bed...

Bad battery .. ??

I don't think so. It ran for 4 days and dropped from 100% to 85% before I put the SIM card in it. (I was waiting for the SIM unlock code.) As soon as I unlocked the SIM and connected to the T-Mobile network, then the apps started trying to connect to everything. It dropped from 85% to 25% in a matter of ~3 hours. Ever since then, the battery drops from 100% to <25% in around 12 hours. I've turned on Eco Mode, I've enabled the battery app, I've turned off every application possible... doesn't seem to make much difference. I typically only make 2-3 phone calls a day (the longest being my lunch break; where I spend ~30 minutes on the phone talking with my Bride). It is just baffling how quickly this battery drains, and it is all due to the background crap that I can't turn off.

So first off no one was hurt...

Dad gum smeg for brains ankle while swooped in in front of me on a wet highway and slammed on the breaks, totalled my car, good thing it was caught on traffic cams

Sent from a dark, twisted corner of the back porch, covered in cobwebs and slightly damp.

Good morning folks.
As much as I appreciate the AC it was so nice to be able to just have the windows open.
It's so hot here year round that I rarely get to open windows and air out the place. Maybe two weeks in winter we don't run the AC. That's one reason I live on my lanai.

She's in SC just to relax and enjoy.
That's good to know. Still feelin' bummed that she didn't make the O adventure. Glad to know she's okay.

I am proof that karma/luck/fate is a bithc, unreliable, untrustable, and often cruel.

First off, very glad to hear that you are not hurt and no one else was injured, either.
Secondly, I just can't "like" that post... but it's good that it was caught on traffic cam. That should help to keep it "not yo fault". Most times, I can't stand the "nanny state", but there are the rare occasions when it actually works out in our favor. Seems like this is one of those times.

I'm glad you are not hurt. ''Twas a wet road that did me in when I totaled my truck. I was fortunate in that I didn't even get a ticket because I was one of seven accidents in a two mile stretch of slippery road. Totaled the truck, I got a pulled muscle in my upper back.
I would say the Angels were watching out for you!

This is all I've got left .. ;)

It could be trouble translating the PRL (Preferred Roaming List) ..

Or :: T-Mobile visual voice-mail app :: clear the app cache / force stop it

Remove and reseat SIM if you have not already ..

    It's a built-in battery that is not removable. :(

If I remember your post correctly - you turned off wi-fi - sounds like you have an app eating up your battery trying to access wi-fi...

I have a laptop that does that when there is no wi-fi available - 1hr - when there is wi-fi available 2+hrs... and its an app that cannot be turned off thanks to HP...

Visual voice-mail has been stopped and disabled, but you may very well be onto something with the PRL. It does seem to occasionally bounce between 4-5 bars and 0 bars on the reception signal. Hmmm. That gives me something to look at, maybe I can "help it along" somehow. Thank you, UW. Your patience and insight is much appreciated. :)

LMAO! At this point, that might not be a bad idea... I'd need a darn good excuse to justify buying yet another phone! ;)
Didn't work but the last excuse the hubby tried was leaving the phone on the ground behind the rear car tire in the parking lot.... ;)

I think that it is likely a toss-up between UW's suggestion about the PRL and one (or more) of the background apps that is trying to access the network. Wi-Fi and Network Data have both been disabled, so the apps are likely just searching for a pathway to the rest of the world. Apparently you can starve the apps, but ya can't kill 'em.

My last phone went swimming... this one is waterproof. So, can't use that excuse again. And I'm guessing that if hubby's excuse didn't work, then it's probably not gonna work for me either... ;)

Hmmmmm... though, my Bride is thoroughly versed in my lack of patience with electronics. She would most likely believe that I got frustrated enough to throw it at a brick wall...
