Don't really know. I was actually planning on being there already. I'm starting to get a little ...... at all the delays.

Well I have finally landed on the back porch! I have been on ECF as a stalker (mostly) since 2012, I recently retired and now have some time on my hands for more than just stalking, although stalking is time consuming. So HOWDY Y'ALL!
Howdy Radeljack, welcome to the back porch. Coolest place on the web by far! :)

Granted it all looks on the up and up however I am reminded of what my daddy always said... if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Bet there is a catch we don't know about.

Maybe, but it looks like the mortgage is paid off, the business is in the black, and everything is stable. From reading their story that was on the webpage, they started the business 21 years ago and they had 3 kids. The kids grew up and moved back to Australia. One of the kids had a child, and that child went and spent a year on the island with the grandparents (who owns the resort). Well, grandchild went back home to mom and dad, and now grandma is really missing her kids and grandkid... so they're moving back to Australia to be close to family. Instead of selling the business, they decided to do the raffle thing so that more people have access to the opportunity. They'll still get their money either way. They've already sold 35,000+ tickets and at roughly $50 a piece, that's $1,750,000 so far... but I absolutely understand your daddy's logic!

Good to see you! I was wondering if the total lack of flames was to do with your going missing... :)
What? No flames? Looks like I got back just in the nick of time!

Yay! Bells is back, & he brought root beer!
If you didn't know it had alcohol in it, you wouldn't know it has alcohol in it. I'm astounded. This is a truly remarkable beverage. Best root beer ever!

I'm about 500 messages behind, but my Internet is now back!

Yes it is! Really tasty!

You're right, that is some very tasty stuff! As is the "Not Your Father's Root Beer". If you really want to get the full root beer experience, either pour it over ice (hides the alcohol flavor even more), or better yet, pour it into a frosty mug with a big scoop of vanilla ice cream! ;)

That stuff would be dangerous for you, Hon! I'm a root beer freak, myself... I drank an entire six pack of that stuff rather quickly... didn't realize how much kick was in it until I tried to stand up again.

We made it. Stayed overnite at the rest area. Really nice place there was 4 motorhomes that stayed and no trucks or other cars came in. Pretty quiet rest area. I'm glad we did. We had something to eat and played a couple games of cribbage and went to bed at 9pm. Left there at 6am and got here at 10am. Motorhome is all set up so I might try and build one of my Tobeco clones.

Yaaayyy! Glad y'all made it safely, Legs! How's Ginny holding up? Hopefully she's feeling better than she was right before y'all left. :)

Maybe my tastebuds are numb from Everclear consumption, but I absolutely cannot detect any alcohol flavor whatsoever in Best Damn Root Beer. It tastes just like excellent non-alcoholic root beer to me.
