Colin Kaepernick has done nothing to disrespect you, me, the US, the police, the military or the game of football, unless you just need something, anything, to get worked up about for no good reason.

I don't care if someone has a negative opinion of drones. They're entitled to their opinion.

I don't think Trump will win, but if he does, most of us alive on Election Day will still be alive on Nov 9th.

The latest Escribe software sounds interesting, Pat. My only DNA200 is all the way over there, on the arm of the couch. I'll get it one of these days.

Amazingly good tennis yesterday and today at the US Open.

My Carolina Panthers are in a tight season opener with the Denver Broncos.

My Yankees keep playing like they seriously want to make the playoffs.

My 51 year old baby brother is complaining today about not being able to grow noticeable facial hair. His two older brothers don't have much either, but Andrew is the most extreme case among us. I think our sister has more facial hair than he does. Do NOT tell my sister I said that.

So ya get two weeks of normal, then a couple more days of adjustment? That's no fun... I'm sorry, Hun. :( Hopefully the telephone problems we be sorted soon, too. I'll keep my fingers crossed. :)

That sounds nice! Oddly enough, I'm one of those weird guys that likes to sew. I've never used a machine, though... always done by hand, and mostly self taught. I actually got pretty good at doing blind stitches because I was making small stuffed toys for my nieces and nephews. :) I haven't tried quilting yet, though... I should probably take some time and go stay with my MawMaw (grandmother) for a week or two. She quilts a LOT, and I'm sure that I could learn more than a few things from her. It's very cool that the ladies were so helpful, too! Sounds like a wonderful group. :)
I used to hand quilt until my hands got so bad. If I had decent light from the right angle I could still do some applique. I have tons of fabric! I could teach you how to hand quilt.

I personally do feel he is disrespecting the US. He is entitled to how he feels, and others are entitled to feel the way they do about him.

I think maybe the people who think we shouldn't have the right to dissent are the ones who would really learn a lot by moving to a place where there is no such right. They'd learn what our soldiers fight for, and learn the principle that ALL of us in the US have freedom, not just those who agree with your personal definition of freedom or my personal definition of freedom.

Any reprisals against this guy should come from the people by way of their wallets. Americans have a right to express themselves, and those who disagree have the right to take their business to another sports team/restaurant/store/tv channel/movie/whatever

There have been many opinions voiced here about politics, Colin and more. Some I agree with, some I vehemently disagree with. What my FIL, father, brother and adopted brother (and generations before them) fought for was the right and freedom to have and voice these different opinions. IMHO we learn and grow from listening to different viewpoints. In the end, I may disagree with someone but I acknowledge their right to be wrong (lol).

I wish the FDA (et al) would listen to scientists and vapers. Sadly, dogma and money rules. That is so wrong.

I'm so far behind that I don't know if I'll ever catch up, but I'm just popping my head in to let y'all know I am alive.

The new base has been a HUGE adjustment. Going from 4 helicopters to 24 helicopters is NOT for the faint of heart! I worked like a pack mule this past week. I am moving a hella load of materials in and out of that base!!

I'm now dealing with 15 mechanics instead of 3. I do get to tell them to get the *&^% out of my parts room whenever I get ready.

Monday I'm going back out for ten days. Anybody got a shovel to dig my grave???

Oh no, why do you have to go for 10 days? What did they do before you got there? It's well known that the more you CAN do the more they'll REQUIRE you to do... That's not to say you should slack off, but no need to run yourself into the ground either. Of course if you like or want to do it that's fine, but nobody will look after you better than you can. I worry about you.

    Maybe the Nico Stick?

Yeah, the Nico Stick was very similar, too. I think the main difference was that the Puck used standard AAA or AA batteries (I think he recommended rechargeables, IIRC), and the Nico Stick used Li-Ion batteries. I could definitely be mistaken here... we are talking about ancient vape history. ;):p:lol:

    Shoot, shovel, shut up!

LOL!!! Gotcha! I'm definitely gonna 'member that from now on!

yeah you really should while ya got her. So much of that stuff is being lost. I really wanted my grandmother to teach me how to tat......but I was didn't get to see her very often, and she was always busy. She started to once, showed me the shuttle, and doilies and stuff she had made, but then we got sidetracked, and that was the closest I got.

I did learn quite a bit from her. How to sew on a button, mend various things, hem a pant leg, etc... just never got around to quilting, though I did help her sew together some of the patches. It's been a long while since I've had a good, long visit with her, though, and she is getting on in age... I really do need to make time to get over to see her. She's still in Mississippi, so getting away from life for a visit just hasn't been in the cards for me lately. :(

That's awesome, Russell! 'Bout time y'all got away for a little break to yourselves! :)

I used to hand quilt until my hands got so bad. If I had decent light from the right angel I could still do some applique. I have tons of fabric! I could teach you how to hand quilt.

That would be awesome! I may just have to take you up on that someday! :) We could sit around and vape-n-sew! :D

Very glad to hear that you're still hangin' in there, but sure wish you could catch a break! Sounds to me like you need to put them 15 strappin' mechanics to work... you just point out what needs doin' and have them do it! ;)
