I am and I think it should be removed!!!!! Don't we already have to put up with adverts in our mailboxes, phone calls, etc.? Door -to-door was stopped years ago and still we're being invaded by salesmen.

I don't believe I'll be back till this pitch is removed. No one else is allowed to push their product.... discrimination....

Then dismiss it!

I've long since kicked Google (and Gmail) to the curb. After over a decade of receiving my server status messages via email, Google fiddled with their asinine filters and started blocking them. And, of course, there's absolutely no way to contact them other than an idiotic form. Fine. Created an outlook.com email address, forwarded everything to that then killed the Gmail address.

As for using Chrome? Only as a backup to check to see if an issue is Firefox related or not. And then only the open source version of Chromium.

Gmail is a pain for me, too. That's mostly because it's different than my AT&T email I've had forever. My Android wants to be on Gmail because Google owns it, but I always change the server and set it up for AT&T when I get a new phone.

Google wants its tendrils in every aspect of your life to allow them to send ads. It's what they do.

I do use Chrome on ECF because Firefox has become overwhelmed and jerky with many web sites in the last year. Even with 16gb ram in my laptop and desktop computers Firefox is noticeably slower than Chrome in loading and scrolling pages. I've tried creating a ram drive and pointing Firefox toward it for page swaps. That didn't really fix the problem. Chrome is much more responsive.

I've never had an issue setting up my outlook address on a droid. Hell, my phone dings before my computer even registers there's a new email.

I redid my Google account so I could access the Play Store for critical apps (Prey, Authy and Malwarebytes). Other than that, it's the only thing the account gets used for.

Speaking of Prey, it's something EVERYONE should be using on their devices and computers.

Around 2600. Not sure of the exact figures without looking at the plans. With the options, flex space, curved facade on the office space, it adds up a few hundred from the basic floor plan. It is the K elevation.

Hubby's office is the parlor/5th bedroom. We are keeping the closet so we don't have the french doors and it will have the normal bedroom entrance. With an open floor plan, we like to maximize the wall space for all our pictures that we've accumulated through the years.

Nice home plan, Robino! Go into overkill mode on the insulation and crack sealing and you won't regret it. We moved in 1997 from a 1900sf home on a lake and built a home with 4400sf under roof and 3400sf heated. With the massive insulation package and whole house wrap we installed our utility bills are lower today than the old home that had insulation that was just the contractor spec package.

People might say that a house needs to breathe to be healthy, but I'm looking at my digital weather gauge right now and it says 86 percent humidity outside (central GA) and inside it's 55% because the house is tight with a good 3 unit zoned HVAC package. Not bad for a humid fall day!

I'll have to check out Prey.

I run the registered Malwarebytes package and have for years. It coexists with Defender nicely. I run SuperAntiSpyware a couple of times a week to get rid of tracking cookies and various other offensive apps that it finds on my drive. I use the free on demand SAS package to keep defender active. Defender will sometimes turn itself off when it sees a full service anti-virus installed.

What I really want is a phone finder app that will let me find my wife when we separate in Walmart! I want an arrow on screen that points toward her phone so I can just walk in that direction. I can call and say, "Where are you at?", but an arrow would be nice to have.

Yep like I say I was feeling a little weird tonight and drank some juice and had some pretzels then had my protein shake with some sugar in it and feeling a lot better now. It's got me thinkin enough to get a tester and check it myself. $18 hell I don't think anything or puttin $100 out on a mod.

Go to Walmart and buy the Relion Prime for $9. My wife has several meters and has found that its readings match her more expensive One touch Verio IQ meter. It's strange how the industry can't just design a meter to be dead on accurate. The spec is 15% plus/minus at 100 and 30% at 200. Go figure.

The test strips for the Relion cost about $20 for 50. For the more expensive Verio it's about $80 for 50 strips. The Relion is a better deal all around. It's much cheaper and just as accurate by her experience. Different doctors prescribe meters for whatever reasons. Drug reps are always pushing their brand.

There are side by side test comparisons for price and accuracy online if you search them out.

:D

As for Prey.....

Prey | Track & find stolen Phones, Tablets and Laptops

The really great thing about Prey is it's compatible with multiple operating systems.

Nope, it's price gouging & is illegal. Jacking up prices to take advantage of emergencies or low supplies of what people need in a normal day. Katrrina & 9/11 are why the law exists. Prices are supposed to remain what they would be normally.

Thought the law allowed a price increase due to some kind of disaster, but no more than 10 cents/gal or something like that. Beyond that is considered gouging.

I'd even pay money for that App.

Not quite the same ... I'd have to be walking around and around hoping to get close enough to hear the beep.

The laws regarding "price gouging" generally refer to natural disasters (such as hurricanes, earthquakes, etc.). Governors can declare a state of emergency (Alabama, Tennessee and Georgia have done so) to prevent large rises in fuel prices. Otherwise, it's a matter of supply and demand and companies in states that have not declared an emergency can raise the prices at will.

I already have 'find my device' setup on our iPhones, iPads, and Macs. I can pull up a map showing the devices location and ring an alarm on them (even if the ringer is turned off). My wife and I share locations on our iPhones so we can, if we choose, see the location of the other person when making calls or texting each other.

Well back from the VA with a new $14000 worth of pills. My HGB was up again from 10.5 to 11.5. My weight which had gone from 139 to 142 was down to 138. One puzzling thing was my glucose which is always around 120-130 was down to 57. He was asking me if I felt dizzy yesterday and I didn't, least not any more then usual Right Gary. Don't understand it because I had had my protein shake and a bowl of Cinnamon Toast Crunch with sugar on top before I went. Oh well at least the HGB is getting there. He said that the Viral Load won't be back for 7-10 days and a lot of people are non detectable at 4 weeks so we'll see.

I'm not liking the blood sugar reading... I've been living with a Type I Diabetic for the past 18 years, and those kinds of readings are never fun. The fact that you normally run a little bit high, and weren't feeling shaky or dizzy is a good sign that the test was inaccurate, though. Definitely get a little meter and keep an eye on it. Those things are cheap insurance. ;) You're still in my prayers, Pat.

Hold your hands up, palm out. Make an L with your thumb and index fingers. The side that makes an actual L is your left hand :D

Hahaha! I actually taught that trick to my Bride a couple of months ago! She'd never heard that one before...

OK, got this today:
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EORQEBO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1

I've got pretty strong hands, but couldn't get the lid off without employing some channel locks, and I REALLY tried! Dang, that lid was on tight!

Pretty good, but not exactly my thing. I'm not sure why I don't find them perfect. Yes, I'll definitely finish this jar, but the other 3 jars will be gifts without regret.

Yeah, if the liquid gets in the threads at all, it causes the lids to stick pretty tight. Kinda works like Loc-Tite!

I'm upping my rating. 2 medium-thick slices of deli turkey on whole wheat with 7 slices of these sweet/hot jalapenos... excellent! It has just now become harder to give away 3 jars, but I will.

LMAO!!! If you like barbeque sandwiches, try it on that. Put a breast or two from a yard-bird (tryin' to look out for Dennis here ;) ) into the crock pot with a little bit of vegetable stock and whatever seasonings you prefer. Cook them until they are done. Drain the liquid off and shred the meat with a pair of forks. Add your favorite barbeque sauce. Put that on your preferred bread product, add the jalapenos, and consume with fervor. I usually do this with pork or beef, but fowl would be an adequate substitute, and I'm aware of your propensity for consuming bird... ;)

Popping in to say "Hi!" cuz Classy told me to  :)

*flying tackle!*
{{{{{{{{{{ROBIN!!!!!!!}}}}}}}}}}
Long time no see!! Gonna hafta send Classy a cookie now! :D

Walls. Picture taken Thursday, last week.

Trusses were delivered today I think. We didn't go to the site yesterday...it rained all day long. They've even done a rough grade and all those extra blocks are now gone. :D

Lookin' Good! (and the house ain't bad, either!) ;)

Ok, so the couple now living with us can't afford a place to live or to pay their vet bill, but when I took the dog out tonight they were out there smoking that green stuff, they can afford that?

Sent from a dark, twisted corner of the back porch, covered in cobwebs and slightly damp.

Hey... everybody's got their priorities... :( :nah:

I am wondering what happened with disallowedword. I was talking to him yesterday and was supposed to call him to explain how to get the .cvs files from SE to Escribe as .ecig profiles. When I called no one home and haven't heard a peep from him. I PM'd him yesterday but still nothing back. Strange that he disappeared so fast. He only lives about 25 miles from me. Hmmm

Strange.... Hope everything is okay with him. Seems like a really nice guy. :) Maybe he got his new vape toys in, and he's just been busy playing with 'em... hope so, anyway.

I use Malwarebytes & MS Security Essentials. I bought the top grades of both in 2012 when I got my big laptop.

What is it?

Prey is a small program you install that allows you to track your device in the event it gets stolen. It has tons of neat features and can even allow you to remotely nuke the device.
