You talking about the Boardwalk in San Antonio? I used to have an annual conference meeting there - loved the area... Bought a lot of antiques in the area and of course the food was always something to brag about...
she's talking about the Kemah Boardwalk...its about 3 miles from my driveway :)

Arizona vermits be all over, and inside, that chair. The desert is simpler...

...but still have to hose the "desert" off pretty often. :)

Nope! The Kemah Boardwalk. Food, arcades, jet boat, a ferris wheel, food, wooden roller coaster & a few other rides, stingray feeding, food & a big patio area with concerts & a sprinkler system for the kids during the summer.

Kenna has her own Boardwalk - now aren't you special...

i was bored 1 summer so i took a job there asking for 'outside'.. (wanted to maintain my tan)......at the end of the summer Tilman Fertitta showed up at my hotdog stand wanting to know how i jumped sales +400% -- i told him that i was instructed to stand behind the booth,, but the kids coming off the rides were on the path out front.. and if i put tons of cotton candy bags all over the booth and simply greeted the kids i practically had a sale because the kids didn't see me at all.. all they saw was candy.. and kids controll their parents wallets. after that summer i quit..(i dont like cold) they kept calling me to come back lol

Had dinner at my step sister's house tonight. Had a great time. Geordi and her lab Charlie had a blast olaying tug togethet, Tasha barked. We had a great talk about what happened in our lost lives, and hubby went along for the "ride". We will get together again before the week is over. Was the best evening I have had in a long time.

last week we took a road trip i really wanted to take...i have flown over many states, but i wanted to actually see them. now granted i should have wandered off the highway more..but we loved what we saw.

Houston to Memphis.. slightly hilly. then off to Jackson TN,,, to 'Casey Jones' for Sunday lunch... it was cute.. food was good. then up through Nashville to Kingston --my husband said if I can find a decent priced home he would move (yeah right).. Dead End bbq in Knoxville (loved that quirky neighborhood). we went through 2 tunnels and sat in road construction.

we took a short cut through North Carolina instead of our intended longer trip on our way to Myrtle Beach to visit with my bff I hadn't seen in 14 years because she got us an extra day for free at the condo we rented next to her on the beach. spent 4 days with her and her first mate.......that was a much needed visit. when we left we altered our path to visit Tybee Island (2 best beach island I have ever seen,,, Sanibel/Captiva Islands still have my heart).. then we got lost in Savannah---we agree we need to go back there. Georgia offered us fields of peach groves, pecan groves and solar panel farms (totally awesome!!!!),,, Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana all pretty much looked the same. google maps welcomed us to every state line except on our short cut through North Carolina.... she must have been on break haha.

it was good to get out and good to come home. we are quite boring people as Graceland etc.. just doesn't interest us.

we expected more 'Route 66' type stops/food.. but must have been on the wrong highway/roads.

we finally used google to 'find best bbq near me'.. and that is how we ended up there....it was pretty good.

Wow ... sounds like you had a nice road trip in additional to meeting up w/ your friend.

I don't know if you remember me telling you guys about my grandaughters dog that has Lupus well they finally found a combo that works for her I'm going to post some pics of it at it's worst and yesterday. It's actually his dog and it didn't look good but she wanted to keep working on it so she would be there when he gets home from Kuwait. Here is some before.

It affected her ears, nose, mouth, and the pads of her feet. She could barely walk it hurt her so bad. She was a real talker and hadn't done any of her dog talk for almost 3 months. This was her yesterday.

She has been taking her to the vet every week and the combo that finally worked was 100mg of prednisone plus an immune suppressent. She is now talking and sassy and can walk good everything is getting back to normal. They have cut her to 30mg of prednisone every other day and the suppressant every other day. It has cost her a lot but she wanted to get her fixed up she is only 8 and it is finally working. One of the drugs is $160 a month plus the prednisone and all the vet visits but she has really been taking good care of her and she is almost completely back to the old Vick.

That's great she's recovering and getting back to her 'old' self.

It was a beautiful day here in Colorado Springs. We spent the afternoon strolling through Garden of the Gods with Katie, Huxley and Janet's sister. It was our first 'outing' with Hux. He's changed so much in the 2 1/2 months since we've seen him.

You are all such organised and tech savvy vapers. I'm never gonna catch up. That's ok. Waitin on payday to place my diy stuff order. And maybe one of those provari 3's that are blemished. Any clue as to which things are being phased out, and what will still be available. All the vaping manufacturers must be making those decisions, but they aren't sharing.
Kenna, sorry to hear everything has been so full on. And Kaez, my heart goes out to you both. I was diagnosed with Copd eight years ago, only quit the cigs in February, so am now at the severe emphysema stage. Biggest impact is shortness of breath & limited stamina, and my anxiety and depression both were overwhelming.
I have only recently been able to stop the fear and tears, and am feeling more like myself.
So am gonna take my daughter and rent a tree house in the rainforest an hour away. Splurge on a massage for us bothMy goal is to make the hike to the waterfall. And come out of my funk. I'm not gonna let it ruin the things I can do, which is still a lot, if I pace it.
Been hoping no one was hurt, or lost their homes during Mathew. Has it passed? And how catastrophic was it?

I was diagnosed with the same and of course I still have it you can't get rid of the scarring but been only vaping for almost 5 years and vaping and smoking some for another 3 and I had a lung function test the other day and as far as my lung capacity it's almost normal. I'm still short of breath a lot and get tired easy but a lot of that is my heart. Ginny my wife was smoking 2 packs a day and quit almost 6 weeks ago and she would put the oximeter on and it would be like 84 or 85 now it starts at 92 or 93. Shes feeling better smelling things again like the stink from the cigarettes. Pretty amazing. She is vaping about 8-10ml a day but only at 9mg of nic. So pretty good I think. It really makes a big difference.

That is great. Nothing like family time! Just nothing like it at all.
