dont feel bad,,i went out to the farm to see my parents,, wondered how the heck they were still using flip phones.. got them all set up with modern smart phones.... a month later pops calls and says mom went back to the flip phone and he was thinking of doing the same................:confused:

We just went to a so called smart phone about a month ago - the only reason I gave up my flip phone is because my phone company said they were disconnecting my 12 year old flip phone from the network as of 1 Sep. Decided to go ahead and try an upgrade...

i finally got my husband to try a smart phone,,, he never ever answers his phone....now with the smart phone he seems to really like it, and will actually answer it. he has way too many apps,, and somehow has nearly killed his speaker.........i will wait to replace it when he starts whining......until then,,i have him convinced its his hearing going out. -i swear i hear dog whistles.. so he is buying the lost hearing theory ---for now :)

Angry Orchard makes a boatload of different hard apple ciders. Some are pricey. My favorite hard cider is Rekorderlig, from Sweden, but at $5 for a 17 oz bottle I wanted to find one for half that price or less.

So based on a blind taste review that I read of half a zillion different ciders, I bought some Angry Orchard "Orchard's Edge The Old Fashioned".

I'm drinking my first one now. Very good! Good thing too, since I bought 36 of them. 6.5% ABV, 12 oz, $2.40. Manufacturer's description: Aged on cherries, orange peel, and bourbon barrels.
Ok, that one sounds good!

grew up with u/s sun tea,, then evolved into lemon tea,, if given a choice i like sweet tea (you are right,, add sugar when hot).. i also like honey tea. (but i have to have the honey from within a 2 state radius if i want to live/breath/wake up tomorrow.) i also like hot tea,, as listed above.....i have never tried any of the herbal teas..they dont sound appealing,,(and i bet they are awesome/just got to get my head around the idea)
I don't normally like herbal thingies of any kind, or sun tea, or honey tea. I did discover Tazo's Zen tea. I love it with sugar, over ice & about 3 Tbs of apple cider vinegar. The vinegar gives it a tart taste like lemonade. Plus ACV is good for you. Lots of probiotics. I drink a couple of glasses of it every day.

<snap!>
I knew I forgot something!

Ridiculous lightning, thunder and rain for the past hour. My power went out a couple of times. I'm just glad that my Internet didn't get fried again.

Also, there's a frog that hangs out outside my side door.... either that frog or a member of his family has regularly taken shelter on many wet occasions in the groove that runs around the outside of the aluminum storm door.

Picture when I can find him, because today he hopped inside when I opened the door, and then under the kitchen table and under the freezer, I think. Quick little bugger. Catch and release, but I'll have him pose for a picture first.
Dinner!

When I first moved to Texas from Michigan we went into a restaurant and I ordered a coke. The lady asked me what kind. I kinda didn't quite know how to answer that.

Even so I didn't blinder quite as badly as my cousin when she moved to Georgia and ordered "A Grit"

So what are you gong to have the tomorrow? ;)

Don't have issues with other, but we've only procured local honey for the last 20 years. Helps the body to "acclimatize" to the local biota. And a heck of a lot fresher!

My Mom wanted a new phone a couple of years ago. Because she's so fumbly I got her one with a touch screen & pull out keyboard because she loves to text. She hates it. The screen is too small, & it does things without her telling it to. (Hello, touch screen) She wants a phone with a big screen like mine. (a touch screen) But she doesn't want to pay data for a smartphone, because she doesn't want internet. I told her when they invent a non touch screen, not smart, big screen phone we'll get her one. In the meantime she has a semi smart phone that doesn't require data.

If yer proud of it, you might put that in your profile.

Welcome, if I haven't said that before. Okay, even if I didn't say it before.
We are all from Texas, some of these folks are just in the northern territories

WOW! I knew local honey is better for developing immunity to pollen from local plants, but the converse is something I never thought of. Anaphylactic is a scary word.
