Patty's brain MRI last week was 'clean', again (nine years after her emergency surgery)!![]()
You're a superhero! I can guarantee that's how she sees you! My period of helplessness and confusion was minor compared to hers. But, my daughter was definitely my hero! It's an incredible relief to have somebody be in charge when the world is falling apart. It helps ease the fear.In a way, for sure. I've been to almost every single doctor's appointment, and have learned a lot about what she's fighting. The chemo has really messed with the way her mind works (kinda foggy and forgetful), so I have to pay attention to make sure that she gets what she needs and is taken care of. Not to mention most of her post-surgical care... it's definitely been a long, hard fight for both of us. I just feel like she definitely has the heavier burden, though.
Is that even legal? On a more somber note, brother in law lost his battle with cancer, he was able to pass away peacefully at home with his family. If y'all would, send some good thoughts my sis in law's way, it's been hard for her; she's been in a traumatic limbo because it took the doctor almost two weeks to get around to signing the death certificate so the cremation could take place......![]()

It's lookin' like another thunderstorm might be on the way. It's pretty dark outside for 6 pm. Last night was a one-day reprieve from the t-storms.
That is sad! We're losing our beloved kumquat tree. It's been looking sad for a couple of years now, and much to high to harvest any fruit from it. It's just about bare on one side.......sigh!Yep, we had one today. So far this year we have lost two trees. One to lightning and one to the heat.
Yep!We even did a l'il happy dance in the living room last night!

Soon as we finish supper I am so hitting the shower and letting hot water beat on aching muscles and joints.
Not every man (or woman) would stick by a seriously ill spouse.
I think this may foot the bill, so to speak, even comes scented for that potential pesky foot odor.....![]()

Yeah, the previous one I put on a cookie sheet but this one I put directly on the oven rack... cooks a couple minutes faster... nothing tasted burnt though.
You sure know how to make a fella feel good, thanks!Kudos to you, Dave!!!![]()
Ain't got no curbs here. Truth is, even if I had a curb, I'd feel like the symbolism was unnecessarily divisive. Sooner or later someone will say that those without blue lines don't respect law enforcement. Sorta like pulling out your PBA card along with your license if you're pulled over (which my Dad did for many years).I'm gonna be painting my curb this weekend !

Those have me scratching my head. What would be their use? Aromatherapy for my captives?I think this may foot the bill, so to speak, even comes scented for that potential pesky foot odor.....
