Ketchup does not belong on my burgers, but it does on my hotdogs.

i follow a Food Network Iron Chef on twitter. he was telling folks that ketchup is crap on hotdogs.

i posted this gif to his account and he retweeted it with a "lmfao" to his thousands of followers.

it's a sign in a hotdog shop, and if you ask for ketchup, they ring the bell of shame

Popping a Fresh Pack against my palm to tamp it down, ritually removing the plastic band and folding back the hard pack flap, removing a fresh cig, placing it on my lips and flipping that Zippo, taking in a nice big puff .. exhale and sigh .. especially after a good meal and a cocktail .. or whatever ..

I use yeller musturd on nuttin'! But brown or spicy are options when it comes to Bratwurst and da such; hot dogs and burgers, no way!

BTW, ketchup goes on no sandwich of mine at all; NEVER, EVER!

Oh, salsa is NOT ketchup...

ETA: I'll take my fries wid gravy before any other 'topping' anytime! In fact, I'll use butter & pepper before using any of da red stuphph.

When I was little I ate ketchhup on everything, as I got older I eat ketchup on nothing, maybe occasionally onion rings or burgers ( only when fresh tomatoes are not available). Funny thing is my son was/is the same way and he didn't know me when I was little.

salsa or even tobasco is for scrambled eggs. not ketchup. french fries is ok for ketchup. i'm ambivalent on meatloaf.

youngsters like ketchup on everything. as our palates mature, it becomes less satisfying.


i recently went to a fine French restaurant with my daughter. i couldn't stop her from ordering her steak well-done (ARRGH!!!), but at least (this time) she did not ask for ketchup or A1 sauce.

i have failed as a father, but there's a shred of hope
