lmao......jup it got you too. Unless you did that on purpose. :D
Nope, I posted and after 30 seconds or so it still looked like it didn't post so I hit post again, then after awhile it still looked like it didn't post, so I refreshed and saw that it had actually posted both times.

You don't have to wait. Even driving a sulky would be fun. When a horsewoman wants a ride, people can get very creative. Watch this; it gave me tears the other day.

Ah, the joy on that woman's face! Sweet!!

I think I forgot to mention, Doree and I celebrated our 39th anniversary on Saturday.
    Belated Happy Anniversary, you two!!

Speaking of horse stories. I love horses. Anyway, I went out to a friend's place to ride one of her horses. Oh, how I wanted to ride like the wind!!

Anyway, the stubborn buzzard just didn't want me to ride at all, much less gallop. He seemed to be more interested in hay and apples. However, I was a determine cuss. The only problem was that the stirrups were not quite adjusted for my little short self, and I mostly didn't have my feet in them.

I persisted with the stubborn animal and finally got him to gallop. Oh, but did he make me pay!! There was a fence ahead, and once I got him started, I couldn't get the beast to slow his roll. I was bouncing all over the place and struggling to get him to slow down and then I began sliding off the horse. The beast slowed down to a couple of feet within the fence and there I was dangling by one arm.

Once he stopped, I let go and dropped to the ground. I was POed. I walked in front of him, and he looked at me as if to say, "That'll teach ya" I said to him, "Yeah, I'm not done with you yet." I got back on and rode him back to the barn where he got his hay and apple. I still laugh to this day when I think about that.

lmao! Sounds kinda like my ex (son's dad) he was about 6 yrs old and was dressed in his cowboy outfit......chaps, holsters, 6 shooters (cap guns), cowboy hate, the whole 9 yards. Decided he was going to ride the neighbors horse. Climbed up on the fence, got on the horse's back. Horse just stood there munching grass. He kicked, hollered giddy up.....nothing worked. finally after the horse had raised his head to see what this pest on his back was........ he took the cap gun.......stuck it next to the horse's ear and fired. That poor horse gave him the ride of his life.......skeered the crap outta him.....and I don't think he ever got on another horse after that! Served him right! lol

Glad you're doing good. Hope you're getting lots of sleep. I'm doin as well as can be expected with all the storm systems in the area. Sleepin a lot though, which I reckin is a good thing. Just weird when this happens. But better than not sleeping :)

    Funny story!! LOL

I've been sleeping pretty well lately. I just don't want to say that too loud....jinx anything, ya know.

Now, I've been up since 2am, but that's because I have a lot to do today and it was bouncing my brain. I'm working it today because tomorrow I'm not doing chit.

I go back to work on Thursday. I don't leave on Wednesday's anymore since I only have to drive an hour and a half. I leave on Thursdays around noon and get to Houma about 2. Then I check into my room and take a nap. Then about 3, it's off to work I go. The short drive has been nice.

I'm slowly getting used to the routine. My opposite and I have great communication, and she is a worker like I am. It hasn't been like working with those other numnuts. This last hitch I was busy due to the big bird that got hit by lightning. It should slack off some next week. It doesn't matter. My time passes quickly there.

I cooked this week so that I could bring food. I can't keep eating out. It's expensive and the fast food crud doesn't appeal to me much. I'll get my routine on soon enough.

Happens to me when the connection is slow. Refreshing the page usually works.

Yep, it wouldn't play for me either until I refreshed the page. That was priceless! Bless those wonderful people for making it happen for her!!

    Good Tuesday morning, Porchers!

I, too had a problem seeing the video at first, then went to the next page and clicked the enclosed post, and then saw it.
What a beautiful and endearing thing to do for that lady.....her smile was worth all the effort!

That is so funny! I know it was scary & dangerous at the time, but still!
I got dumped off of my cousins Welsh Mountain pony when I was about 13. Those are small, petite horses. I was already at least 5'9". He was fine as long as we just walked. But my cousin decided to trot hisn & when mine picked up his pace to match he decided there was just too much bouncing going on, gave a little buck & dumped me in the dirt. He followed my cousin back to the barn. I walked back by myself. My Aunt took me to the Dr because my left elbow swelled up huge. It wss just a sprain. Then I was mad, because I couldn't have a cast to distract from the embarrassment of getting dumped off a horse I could have stood up from.

You sound great, Deb! I am so glad this change up happened for you. I know you were worried & unsure for so long. That feeling of knowing something is going to happen, but not sure if it's gonna be good or if the bottom will fall out is so emotionally draining. It just sucks the life right out of you.

Penny Dreadful was ok. Wallander was depressing!!!

Love you too! Now I need a nap!
Well try Luther. But if you thought Wallander was depressing you might think the same about this but I like cop shows especially British or like Wallander Swedish Luther is British. I really liked all three but like I say I like cop shows where a super thinking cop eventually gets his man through techniques that others miss.

Sent from a dark, twisted corner of the back porch, covered in cobwebs and slightly damp.

they got an A for the security of their site from this link that retired 1 gave us.

Well maybe I'll give them a try they have a selection of TC40's. Prices aren't bad at all. I wish they made a pink one but they do make a SE Blue and White porceline. Ginny always complains about not being able to find it in her purse cause it's not a bright enough color. Shes a vaping fanatic now.
