Well I think that ... cat got one of the babies. Gotta do something about that cat not sure what. Wish I would have gone to the Rez during the 4th and got some firecrackers. This hedge is so thick he just sits in there and waits and the birds use it as cover or stay close to it when eating and he just pops out and grabs one. I think it belongs to the Ahole behind us. His dogs dug a bunch of holes under our chain link fence about a year ago and the next thing they were in our back yard. Ginny went out to try to chase them back and the hair went up on their backs and they growled and barked at her. She went over to their house and said something to this dumb broad that lived there at the time and she just said well dogs will be dogs. Maybe so but not in our yard. We called the cops and the next thing he fixed the holes and put concrete blocks on his side.

We're prepping for our unwelcome guest Matthew.......looks to be a very major event, and even though we're in the NE, doesn't mean we won't get pelleted.

Little if any computer time today.......so not even able to lurk.....too busy getting prepped!

Hey you all....

been busy busy busy doing stuff n things for days now...but today i'm resting. Been diggin in the dirt, cleaning out n rearranging my shed, bringing garden decor from the front to the side yard and visa versa, laid down some weed cover/ put 2x4 boards on it to hold it down, leveled the ground in front of the shed, laid out six 2x4's on the ground in front of the door, cleaned out the flower pots and stored em...but what did me in was yesterday when i went to a superstore and spent a WHOLE HOUR walking and pushing a cart! I was so tickled that I didn't have to use an Amigo cart!

The moral of this story is that all the physical stuff I'd done the past week didn't hurt much at all...the hour's worth of walking proved to me that one of the best exercises is still simple walking! I'm not in pain, per se, just feeling it in my legs!

Gracie...I'm going for a walk tomorrow and I'm gonna shoot for this exercise on a regular basis! ( No wonder you and your hubby are so spry!)

The toys can be great, especially if you have to leave the dog alone for a period of time. What I like about the "find it" game is it is interactive. Dog doesn't need you to work on the toy, he needs you to hide the treats. And the party when he finds it.

Unless I go to the doc or maybe if he's at dil's folk's house, he's not ever left alone since I'm here. And yeah I like the interactive part too. I've tried chasing him a bit when he's in his playful mood, but have come close to hurting myself a few times, so can't do that anymore. Wish there were more I could do with him other than just snuggling, so this will be good. We do wrassle once in awhile, but he's not always in the mood for that.

We leave tomorrow for Chicago (well, actually St. Charles, IL). I wish all my East Coast friends the best through the storm. Carolinas are probably next in line after Florida. Stay safe! Hoping for the best.

Hope you have a safe, profitable trip! Hope everyone stays safe from the storm. I'd heard it might be heading out to sea, but am not certain. Hope it does.

Hadn't realized I've been gone so long. I took a couple of weeks off of ECF, then had a couple of emergency projects at work, then Obduction came out, and I was concentrating on that

I was intending to check it out... fell asleep, or was watching something else, or something. Anyway, I've now added those two episodes to my play list and will record the series. I'll give my initial assessment once I've watched the pilot and the other aired episode.

Anybody know if "No Good Deed" (2014 movie) is any good? I recorded it and am too lazy to start watching it to find out.

The VP debate was fairly good, IMO.

I'm watching a lot of BBC News these days. It's the only place I know of to get news about anything other than the US election. What's going on in Aleppo is tragic. In my opinion we need to directly go up against Russia.
