I'm sorry ... Glad it was "barely." DST should be called Standard Time, now. There are more DST months than not! Here's a fun fact about DST: the prevailing story that DST was established to help farmers is a myth. Farmers actually were the biggest opponents to DST; evidently, cows don't adjust to time changes at all well . The US adopted DST at WWI, to take advantage of daylight and save energy. Seems that my 3rd grade teacher got it wrong [emoji23]

In Florida growing up the story was it was instituted so school children didn't have to walk to school in the dark. Cept when you "Spring ahead" it's darker later in the mornings.

ok......now it's entirely possible I'm thinkin about this totally backwards......but, seems to me it is just the opposite. We fall back, so it get time for them to go out earlier......and the days are shorter, so it takes longer for it to become light. Seems like our kids are out there in the winter time in pitch black waitin on them buses.

Ummm... standard frequency for consumer products? Even my Citizen Eco-Drive watch isn't giving up that level of info about what frequency it uses in the manual.

So sad. Heard on the news the beautiful Irish Setter that won 2nd overall at Crufts was, it looks like, poisoned. What the f#=~; is this world coming to?

I felt sick to hear that! I heard the poison was "stitched" into the meat treats he was given and there's (I think) 2 others who were also given the poison. There are some really sick people running around in this world. Aren't those dog shows restricted as to who has access to the dogs?
