Deb - Take it you're not sleeping either, of course from what you were saying earlier, your clock is all messed up. I'm trying, feel sleepy, just won't go to sleep. I can't explain it but, I hate it. I have a ton to do tomorrow and if I don't sleep soon I will be useless. Can't even take a nap later today because the contractor is working in the master bath.

:lol:Why don't you people go to bed? Deb, you and I are on the same schedule. I just had my lunch.

hehehe yeah same here. Well, probably supper, but since I usually only eat once a day, it's whatever it is. I've always been a nightowl, but really hate this schedule that I'm on now. Wasn't so bad when I could do other stuff, but now that I can't do all the things I used to, it's boring.

hehehe Teresa, that's known as FOMS = Fear Of Missing Something

First off, I replaced my work bench 100W incandescent flood with an 8.5W (60W equivalence) Ultra 5700K. IMO, the 'whiter' LED appears brighter; probably due to the higher K 'temp'. It also has a wider defined pattern. Remarkable at ~12% of the wattage!

TBH, I prefer the 2700Ks for bedroom and closet lighting; not as intense. Might try lower wattage LEDs when I run out of my incandescents and LEDs.

Deba, you're correct.

Ya know what I spied in Home Depot Saturday? They now have out drop in LED replacements for 48" fluorescent tube fixtures! They will work in the old fluorescent fixtures - ballasts and everything. Too pricey (for me) to experiment with right now at 12 bucks a pop as all our fixtures like that are two bulb types. But veeeeeewwwwy intewesting! I think they said they are all of 12 watts to operate.

One thing they were pushing is these won't be plagued by the problems fluorescent tubes have operating in cold environments. And having a couple in a cold unheated part of the cellar that flicker all winter long - that would be a big improvement.

I can't help but get nervous about our big ECF move. Hope they've done some pre-testing before launch. Hopefully it will go smoothly because I'd sure hate to loose track of anyone! I can just picture myself getting lonely drifting around in the ether trying to find you! Fortunately I have Mike here to figure it out. I'm technology challenged (ask my kids) so it's good that he's here to show me the way - as long as he can figure it out.

I dunno. I'm wondering if it's gonna take us two weeks to figure out how to Like something.

That, and I'm hoping there won't be any browser incompatibility surprises. I looked at the Xenforo site to check on that, but didn't find any relevant info on minimum browser requirements.

Oh! When we go read only (which may last longer than any of us wants...) if you happen to get involved in reading some uber long threads, it would probably be a good idea to set a browser bookmark for where you left off. Read only will also mean that "view last read" tags won't be set for your threads either.

Meh. I'm as caught up as I'm gonna get. Spent the day diagnosing a USB hub problem that ate up way more time that I wanted to throw at it. I'm sure it was just coincidence that the USB hub barfed on first boot right after that massive electrical storm. Regardless of why it happened it was no less annoying.

'Zit for me. Night all.

No a forum within ECF and I really don't know anything about it, except that Robino mentioned it could be done for groups. I assume sorta like the supplier forums. I reckin we'd have a couple someones that would be moderators of it, and they might have long standing edit power which could be helpful, but I'm only guessing on that. Just wanted to see if it had been looked into already before I asked them about it after the move.

This is sounding a lot like the Social Groups - which I thought they were trying to do away with. They have slightly different rules, you have to become an official member of the group to post there, group moderators are required, someone has to be assigned as the owner of the group - and it all goes to hell if the group owner disappears for any reason or the group moderators quit moderating. All but a very few of the Social groups I'm aware of turn into ghost towns. :tumble:
