I'm having a heck of a time with the bright white and smaller text.
If I hit the control key and scroll, I can make my print very large and quite comfortable. XF automatically resizes it to fit the page which is a wonderful feature. See if enlarging your text helps. Turning the brightness down on your screen maybe beneficial also. Hope this helped.

It is taking me a lot longer to find what I am looking for but it can only get "easier". That's what I'm telling myself and if it does not change in two weeks. . . y'all will be glad I am not a supporting member and have "no mood" indicated. Has anyone here ever had a problem with know what mood I am in????
I don't think so. bahahahahahaha

Well, this was an interesting night for us. Around 3:10 today my heart went into a-fib. I have palpitations (like a lot of people) but sometimes (last one 18 years ago) for no reason it gets into full tilt bogey and needs to go to the ER. I HATE going to the ER, but my heart needed to go so I went with it. They hooked me up like a science experiment and took half my blood and ran scads of ECG print outs. Then at 5:10 it stopped freaking out! Yay! Who knows why, but it went back to my normal rhythm. Oh no, can't go home yet, need a chest x-ray. Just had my physical which included blood work, echo, ECG and 24 hour halter monitor so they couldn't justify doing it all over again. I escaped and got home about 8:30. Yay! Time to eat finally! So that's my excuse for not being around earlier. Looks like everyone held down the porch just fine without us.

Oh, and while we were waiting in the ER we heard one of the nurses freaking out because it seems one of the patients just lit up a cigarette in their "room". I can't imagine doing that even when I was still smoking! Who doesn't know you can't light up in the ER of a hospital????? Sheesh! :w00t:

OK, now I see the mood bar folks were talking about yesterday, BB is feelin' relaxed and FranC is grumpy, :D verified member status is also showing up now too.

Ok, it's official - if you aren't a supporting member you are not allowed to be moody:

You must be a supporting member to be able to change/set your mood.

(lame...)

Udder things I have learned as of this very moment:

Crapatalk users are having a lot of problems using it to access the site today. A lot of people who could get logged on with it Friday can't get back into the site with it today. Various error messages from log in password problems to "unrecognized https" etc. The response so far is "blame Crapatalk." Anyway, if you use it, and it ain't workin' - seek answers elsewhere at the moment.

The problem of not being able to delete old Inbox messages is persistent and seems to be affecting everyone. "Working on it..." Seems we all can delete one message and then... it quits working.

We are still suffering from cache anemia. That problem of seeing out of order posts is real and until all this caching and indexing gets caught up it will still be a hit or miss issue for some people viewing threads.

It's also causing problems with quit smoking banners not updating. Some people have reported their quit smoking banner is lagging days behind the real world. I'm also seeing a lot of Avatars, banners, and other images not loading often. From what has been said Xenforo relies heavily on it's own caching system and this is going to be status quo for a while until caching gets caught up, even when it involves images being generated from external links. Like banners. But there may be an ongoing issue with quit banners never being more than a couple days up to date - just the way it's going to work.

My goal for the overnight is: "find stuff." I formerly used the "What's New" option that wasn't filtered or censored. (In other words, not the What's New? > Today's Posts that excluded all sorts of forums.) Now I have to figure out where to find the similar option here. I used to just keep a one click tab on FireFox to load it, now I have to go on a Safari to find the new equivalent.

Everyone surviving this transition ok? (<~ That is the new "confused" smiley. Looks like a drunk cyclops smiley to me.)

Hello, hello, anybody home. Hi Sushi and Ken_A. Where the heck did everybody go? According to the time stamps ain't nobody around since 5:15

I decided it was time to "step away from da ECF" for a while - to see if they got anything sorted out - and do some of my own maintenance on my computer. Browser was due to to be closed/reloaded anyway. And cleared a lot of junk off the hard drive.

I have been working on stuffed animals (for Fall Festival) all day. Just got a shipment of joints and eyes, so I have been putting the plastic on them, stuffing them, then sewing up the seams. Tomorrow I will get busy with embroidering mouths and noses. Last year, I started after the church rummage sale-- scooped up jeans and pillows. But I burned out on the project. Now I have plenty of time.

Fussing with vapestuff was a low secondary activity. No water, and very little electricity, so wasn't able to get other stuff done. Hopefully the new water heater is working now, and I will be able to wash dishes and shower before church.

Janet, that had to have been scary. Hope they get to the bottom of the problem and resolve it so you don't have another episode.

Eeek! Janet, as someone who has the same problem - 'cept at lot more often that every 18 years - I know how scary that can be. I've been Holter monitored up the wazoo and they don't have an underlying medical reason for why it happens. But when it does happen (so not a Doctor here...):

In my case there seems to be a positional issue, as it only does the "takes off and running" thing when I'm lying down. If I sit upright most times my heart rate drops back to normal in under 30 seconds. Does that make any difference when it happens to you?

This came right from my Doctor: Purse your lips closed tight and blow hard keeping your mouth closed - like you trying to blow a stopped up trumpet. It works after doing that maybe three or four times. I forgot his explanation as to why it works though.

But here's hoping and :nun: it won't be happening again.
