Not sure. Name of the band is Iron Horse.
That's not the one I saw. Just looked it up again, it was Steve n Seagulls. It wasn't great, but it was funny! They do covers of a lot of big songs. Hilariuous, and they are a good bluegrass group. But dem songs...

Yesterday I went to Dr. for med review. Since finishing my writing project, my anxiety and depression levels have plummeted. I am staying on minimal levels of venlafaxine because of extensive history of depression and anxiety.
I'm glad you're feeling better. It's about time, right?

I asked for shingles shot, and it cost my insurance $225. Those heavily advertised new meds are EXPENSIVE!! A friend who was an emergency-room nurse said she had seen many people there with shingles-- so I guess the cost is offset by higher costs later.
I didn't realize it was that common. But, as bad as I've heard it is, $225 doesn't sound all that bad compared to the pain and misery it can cause.

Ain't that the truth... If only we could have our looks from back then along with the wisdom we have now we'd be unstoppable.
Looks would be nice. But, health and ENERGY would be even better!

At any rate .. During the last few months, I made the choice to close my studio in Edwardsville .. I sold the "Brother Loves Traveling Salvation Show" stage rig for close to what I still owed ..

In the end, it's a bittersweet feeling .. on one hand, the relief of shedding the old, on the other hand, the sadness of thinking of the good times gone by ..o .. and

Let me thank all of you for being there these last few years, and I know it sounds cornball, but as many of you know, I've done more than my fair share of unloading .. always to be greeted by no judgement and plenty of welcoming acceptance .. it's hard on a self made man, who prided himself in always making his own way .. the one best thing about the fine folks that reside here .. ?? I learned more about forgiveness, understanding and the shared ups and downs of life .. if in fact, Fate plays a hand, she played a Royal Flush when we somehow joined hands ..
I'm glad you're starting to take it a little easier. But, I'm sorry for your loss. It sounds like the studio and the rig/stage shows were much like your children. Very dear, cherished parts of your life.

It's going to be very sad for a while. I know it's hard to let go. But, we're here for you while you're making the adjustment. Rant, reminisce, . . . . . Whatever you need.

This really is a good thing. Now, you can start a new phase of life instead of hanging onto the old one until it kills you. When the mourning ends, you'll come out the other side into a new life.

Remember, you still have that Royal Flush!

I also liked country, jazz, disco, and the blues, but on party nights - I was good old rock and roll...

You should see my Canary Yellow Leisure Suit that I was famous for during my Disco Days (LOL)... (I do not know if I should admit that on an open internet) - LOL

Now, soft music - country and maybe a little country rock (I think they still call it that)...
Where's the picture?

I got married in 1979 in a pale, lime green leisure suit. Complete with cheap hotel pants (no ballroom). They were so tight that when I pulled the wedding ring out it flipped out and rolled under the Justice of the Peace's couch. Gotta picture the Judge and I on our knees under the couch with our butts in the air looking for the ring. Funny now, not so much then.
Surely you have wedding pictures, right?

Sadly, no. We got married by the Justice of the Peace in Newport News, VA. Two days before I deployed to South America for 7 months. It was the Judge and his wife and Doree and I. Photographers were sadly in short supply.

After reading and responding to about 17 pages last night, I found one more quote I had marked but forgotten to use:

Hey y'all. I was so excited this afternoon!! I thought I was going to get to go home early....not much going on around here.......then I get into work and find a doggone aircraft engine sitting in the hangar!! WTH??? So, I'm stuck here because I'm the only one qualified to run the forklift to load this engine out of here tonight, and it wasn't even for one of our aircraft!!! BUZZARDS!!!!!! With all the bad weather that passed through, three aircraft got stuck offshore and got damaged by hail and wind. We're the closest drop off point for stuff coming in offshore, so here it is.

On the bright side, I got somebody to teach me how to make my phone a hot spot so I could get on the Internet. The truck won't be here for another hour and a half. Hey, at least I can pass my time waiting the way I want to.
:)

I'm sorry you didn't get to come home early like you wanted. But, the hot spot thing sounds great! Do you have unlimited minutes or, at least a lot of minutes to work with?

Looking forward to seeing a lot more of you!

OK. I woke the family up for work and school. Time to go back to sleep now. Good morning, all!

aarrgghh!! I just tried using an ECF bookmark and forgot they're not working.

Anyone keeping up on the forum changes? Have you heard anything about when/if old bookmarks will work again?

They are not really giving time frames on anything - they are not listing priorities to us and the thread gets side tracked a lot - their biggest seems to be able to get the stuff coops use back up fast...
